I I did try them again (just a couple bites). Same reaction. Burning face and bright red. So they've gone in the garbage and I won't be eating them again.

I've been keto since may 4th. Have lost 37 pounds but now I'm just stuck. I do eat Atkins barsbars or a quest almost everyday. I've never lost that desire for sweets. Its lessened at some points but never gone away. I have thought maybe I need to go back to Atkins induction for a few weeks. I've let my veggie intake slack.

I figured since I decreased my calories by 250 a day it would balance out.

Lol I think we are both Canadian too. Hahahahaha

Nope, they are literally just bacon. That's it. I eat them all of the time.

You'll probably notice your tolerance is WAY down. I can get half corked on a single vodka and diet coke. Lol. I rarely ever drink though. It makes me hungry and that's not a good thing.

Yes kittensmaster has been gone for at least a month

I really don't care if it's a "clean food". Candy = crap. I just want something as a great for Halloween when we have a big party and everyone else is scarfing down chocolate bars. Just want to know if sugar alcohols are deducted from carbs

Omg Im cracking up here.

It wasn't even anything crazy. Some (maybe 1/2 cup) sweet potatoes and some paleo stuffing which also had sweet potato.

I'm the same way with eggs but unfortunately our farm is full of laying hens so eggs are free and in abundance. Lol. Where's my bacon tree

I agree with KnitOrMiss. Maybe open up your diary so we can have a peek. If your calories are too low, I'd suggest filling the void with fat. Top those meatballs and veggies with some butter. Packs a calorie punch. But it really depends what we are talking about in terms of calories. It's normal to lose some hunger, but…

I think the issue with not using food is that there is no certain lifestyle associated with low carb/ketogenic diet. It's easy with the Paleo lifestyle because Grok lifted heavy things, moved slowly lots throughout the day and hunted/gathered lots so with Paleo it's easy to get a one size fits all picture because it's a…

You can use a pic of the pretty eggs from my chickens

Today for lunch I had a Double Mozza burger from A&w wrapped in lettuce and no tomato. 2g of carbs and mmm mmm good!

ONE time I showed moderate ketones. ONCE! I normally show trace or small no matter how low I go so I wouldn't sorry too much about it. ☺

I wouldn't drastically cut calories....especially for the first couple of weeks. I would set a higher calorie goal and not worry if you go over for at least two weeks. Set your carb limit (20-30g a day) and then try and hit your protein and fill the rest with fat.

Wow! I'm actually quite impressed! Heje.

The peace love and low carb cheesesteak stuffed peppers are AMAZING! My kids and husband all devoured them.

If you are seriously interested in the ketogenic diet, do not post on the main forums. You're like a wounded rabbit hopping around in a wolf sanctuary. They'll pounce on you the minute you enter. lol. When i first started, meals were simple. Made things super easy. Bacon and eggs for breakfast, salad with meat and dressing…

Magnesium will help with bathroom issues. I wouldn't be too concerned about not having a BM in 2 days, but it really depends how you are feeling? Do you feel stopped up? If yes, I'd get a bottle of natural calm and take a couple tbsp in water. It'll help, but make sure you are near a bathroom. ;)

Totally missed the part But drinking a bottle of wine A DAY prior to 14 days ago. That would take a HUGE toll on the body. I bet her body is just trying to heal and the weight loss will come.

Lol I think a lot of us have been there done that. I remember when I first started and I was soooo hungry. Someone suggested that I eat a tbsp of butter to see if the fat helped. Well geez, who thought choking down some butter would be so hard mentally. Hehe. I almost gagged cause it seemed so wrong after everything you…

We just had our thanksgiving dinner yesterday (Canada) and although I did stick to a grain free thanksgiving, my carbs were a bit higher. One of the things I had though was brussel sprouts and bacon. It was good. http://www.foodnetwork.com/recipes/rachael-ray/brussels-sprouts-with-bacon-recipe.html

I'm not sure if some days you just forgot to log lunches or whatever but your entries are all over the place. Some days are right on calorie goal, some days only 300 calories. Some days up in the 90's for carbs, some days in the teens. Maybe just try really really hard for the next couple of weeks to be more consistent…

LOL seriously though....when I stick to plan, I feel great. I can stick to "healthy" carbs and feel like caca, so for me it's the low carb that works.

I would be VERY hesitant to drop your fat intake and up your carbs. For me and I think most others, it would be the opposite. Could you drop your carbs to 20 and add a couple HIIT sessions a week in? That might help drop a little quicker.

I started keto may 4th of this year and very shortly after was able to start to wean off antidepressants that I'd been on for 5 or 6 years and had tried previously to get off of with no luck. It was a slow wean, but i finally got off of them about 2 months ago and have had no problems with depression or anxiety IF i stick…

I'm 5'8, 193 lbs and I eat 1650 calories. I have my fat 5% lower and protein 5% higher than you but that's just what works for me.
