Hi! Today will be day 21 for me. I did it for 10 days at a time then took a 1-2 day rest. But I also coupled level 2 (and now level 3) with running almost every day (20 minutes/2 miles) and yoga once to twice a week. I wanted to make sure I was getting a full body workout, even though JM does a good job of working out…

Hi everyone! I just want to say good luck with the 30 Day Shred! I am currently on Level 2 and it is day 18 for me. This workout is WORTH it. It's hard work but the results will show. With the first level, I lost an inch in everything I had measured. DO NOT GIVE UP!! :D Every day you complete this 20 minute workout is a…

I am currently doing the Jillian Michaels 30 Day Shred, and I tend to do that for 5 days at a time then take a day break. I also do yoga at least once a week (usually Tuesdays at 5:30 am). Lately, I have also been going for a two mile run before the shred. It's been working well for me!

I don't know if this counts but I would be eating gluten-free brownies since I don't eat gluten! haha
-
Actually that's such a good point; one brownie means something different for everyone! I just meant something little, but I agree about risking triggering a binge. That happens to me too sometimes :(

I highly doubt that a brownie a day would be enough to give you diabetes or a heart condition, especially with exercise making your heart strong. But you're right, everyone gets diseases like those

Agreed! It's all about not over doing it

Yeah, I feel like it's not the end of the world if you have some little thing some days. I understand that this involves a whole lifestyle change, I was just wondering if there would be an effect because it doesn't seem like a straightforward answer. If your body burns a certain amount of calories a day, would a couple…

Ahhh thank you for posting this! I was having the same questions. I had my daily calories set at 1200 for about a week but ended up always feeling hungry and deprived of food. Plus, I weighed myself yesterday and I had gained a pound. But I thought that I was supposed to keep my calories as low as possible. Seeing this…

wow thank you so much everyone!! this was super helpful, I think I'll finish the 30 Day Shred (cuz I don't want to just quit in the middle of that) and get Insanity!! :D
-
I'm so glad you did the 30 day shred and can compare it! Thanks for sharing :) I was afraid that it'd be much different, but was hoping it'd be similar haha ugh oh well. Hopefully doing the shred will be a good warmup for Insanity :P good luck! and crazy8ts, your profile picture is craaazy that's so awesome!

it definitely seems like everyone thinks it's worth it, that's encouraging :)

I'm 19 and starting my second year of college in the fall! I COMPLETELY understand the budget thing, I'm moving into an apartment in August and it will be the first time I've bought and cooked my own food independently. So nervous! Nice to meet everyone :)

Just want to add that most oatmeal is already gluten-free, just make sure the only ingredient is "rolled oats". You don't have to buy fancy oatmeal to have it gluten-free :)
