Tuesday Goal - Still trying to get enough protein. Also going to ge to the the gym 5 times this week. @nana - I struggle with getting enough protein, too. I always thought my diet was high in protein until I started logging my food. @Artemis - congrats on getting started when you're young. I wish I had known how to change…

Thanks, I'm not worried about carbs from fruit or cocoa, just want something that tastes good!

Holly, you find you have to add sweetener? Just wondering...I purchased the vanilla flavor earlier this week but have not tried it yet. I figure if I get tired of the vanilla flavor I can add some cocoa powder or fruit to it. I had to buy a giant tub of it because that's all the store carries but I can return it for store…

It's hard and I really haven't figured it out myself yet. It's so easy to grab a burger or a sub, or pick up a pizza on the way home from work instead of cooking, especially after a 12 hour day. But I agree with kaw831 - a year from now you can either be just like you are today (or heavier) or well on your way to being…

The only food i've really given up is regular Coke and I miss it every day. I've also cut down on my pizza and alcohol. I'd like to have more but trying to practice moderation.

Wow, thank you so much for this information. It's no surprise but definitely good to read unbiased info from someone who has no financial gain from Isagenix.

Well I'm not a "big loser" yet but I've been at this since January and people started noticing around late April at which point I had lost about 15-20 lbs. I still don't see a difference at all though and am still wearing the same clothes comfortably.
-
Same here but I would also have the shake. And I stopped drinking Coke in January but I miss it every day!

Me. I knew when I was 7 that I never wanted children. When I was 23 I tried to get my tubes tied but my doctor said I'd change my mind. Now over 20 years later I have not changed my mind and I'm still happily child-free.

Just curious, what foods for you are "not worth eating" and which foods do you think people "are conditioned to believe they taste good"? Just wondering, not trying to argue.

Chicken. And I'm not too fond of eggs.

I pretty much avoid low-fat foods with the exception of greek yogurt because I love all of the Chobani flavors. In fact I'm drinking an iced latte with whole milk right now. The fat will help keep me full longer and I just make sure it fits within my macros. Fake fat and fake sugar are the only 2 kinds of food I avoid on a…

This thread makes me want to drink. And it's only 9:47.

About every 2 months.

So true!

I don't think anyone ever said a pound of muscle weighs more than a pound of fat.

All of the above (though I've never heard "twitch twitch"). Here, here! - instead of Hear, hear! LOL - I've never found an instance where "LOL" was used and the sentence preceding it was the least bit funny, let alone laugh out loud funny..

Soda. I gave it up in January and I miss it every day. I've also cut way back on pizza and burgers and I pretty much think about them every day, too.
-
Good luck...you can do it! I gave up Coke in January (not diet Coke, regular Coke) and I can honestly say I miss it every single day. I'm not going to say I'll never drink a Coke again but for right now I'm staying away from it. It's hard but I know it's the right thing to do so I keep looking the other way when I pass a…

I've been frustrated about how slow I'm losing. I started at just under 300 lbs and at the beginning of this year I stopped eating the following on more or less a daily basis: two 20-oz Cokes, a grilled bacon/egg/cheese sandwich with hash browns, chips and sometimes a muffin and latte (I would think that this alone would…

$23 a session sounds great to me. I pay a lot more than that for my trainer but he really pushes me so I figure it's worth it. I admire people who can do it all on their own, though.

Good to know. I'll have to look closely at the ingredients. Thanks!

Looking to try these as well. I haven't found a protein bar I like and I'm willing to eat a little stevia once in a while if these are really good. I do like that they don't have a lot of artificial ingredients so I hope I like the taste.

About every month or so. It would be too depressing to weigh in every day and barely see any change or to see 1/2 pound after a week. At least after a month there is a difference of a couple of pounds.

I'm eating the Bolthouse Blue Cheese right now and it's delicious! I was skeptical at first as I'm picky about my salad dressing (usually stick to vinaigrette or ginger) but I can't wait to try other flavors. I plan to use them on everything.
-
I'm going to look into all of these suggestions. I just don't understand why companies feel the need to load their products with stevia. I just tried to eat a protein bar with stevia (one of the ones I mentioned I was avoiding in my earlier post) and it was so sickeningly sweet and artificial tasting I had to throw it out.…

I just don't like the odd taste and it's not something I'd want to ingest on a regular basis anyway. I have a few protein bars with stevia and I just can't bring myself to eat them.
