• I know this is an old thread, but I was wondering if the people that had it on their kindle were satisfied with the kindle addition. Are there pictures in the book? I have a kindle fire.
• Great results! I would definitely be interested in knowing about where you started with body weight/calisthenics. What did your beginner work outs look like?
• Hi Mona, Great to hear your story! Where do you get your beginner work outs ? I was also thinking about doing some yoga in the evenings too and I like your idea of doing yoga instead of giving into a craving!

• Thanks for the replies. I have done a little pilates at home (I know, not the best) and I have also come back around to yoga. I like it MUCH better. I just need to throw in some core here and there. I know yoga works core, but I am not sure how to build core with yoga. Since yoga uses core and mine is weak, I have to be…
• I am also curious about whether you were doing A or B or both.
• I love "Yogaglo" . It's basically a real yoga studio where they have filmed the classes. All different kinds of teachers, classes, and types of yoga. You can do searches for what you specifically want. Length, type, body part, etc. I think it's 18 per month.

• How long have you practiced yoga to get through that many sun salutations? I don't think I could come close to that!
• Great article. I wonder if you can get those same benefits doing a short practice at home on your own. I have settled into a 30 min practice on my own daily. I do feel I am missing the more in depth benefits of doing it with an instructor and of changing what I am doing, different poses etc. I often skip the rest period at…
• I have known a few people that have had lipo and because they didn't change anything else, the fat came back in different areas. One said she would never do it again, because now she has a new problem area.
• I would go to a class every day, if only I had the time and money. Love it!

• I have been doing a short home practice everyday to keep things stretched out and keep with it. I plan to slowly add to the sequence to make it a little more challenging. I have been in therapy for my back and realized I have to ramp up very slowly, so that is my plan with all forms of exercise. Not as young as I used to…

• I use my yoga strap daily! It's great for a hamstring stretch.
• Look for good stretches for hip flexors and hamstrings. I have this same problem . If those are tight, they pull at your lower back when you walk. Not sure about shoes and stroller. Could also be something about your position when pushing stroller?

• Well I spent the time to read the whole article through, long read, but well worth it. Yep, I need to get some meditation back in my routine!
• I hate to say, when I do yoga at home and not in a class, I do tend to skip the meditation part and rest at the end. I know it's good for me and I could really use it, but once I am done I want to start my day! I should get better with this considering I have pain going these days. Thanks for the article!
• Why would these be bad for your back , being low impact? My back is an issue for me right now and I am looking for low impact things. I happen to have a mini tramp and was wondering about using it.
• Wow that is amazing. I can't even come close to a backbend. She is crazy flexible!
• Noise? Any amount of time is a challenge for me at this point, but all the blood rushes to your head. Maybe thats what you mean by noise? Like a pressure feeling?
• I have had this in the past and it has again returned. The thing that helped me the most was the night splint (made a huge difference) and lots of stretching of your whole leg. Calves and hamstrings especially. This time the pain was in a different area, so I didnt recognize it right away as planter fasciitis, so I was…
• Yogicarl, thanks for the advice! I was doing that sort of thing before, but not really focusing on balance and strength in that pose.
• Thanks! I found that video very helpful!
•
YogiCarl said "The mistake I think is throwing yourself up into the handstand again and again and hoping that will one day become a stable handstand. The better approach is to build a strong base until eventually you just know the strength and strong base is there to rise into the handstand with control."
…
• How long before anybody here could do handstand without a wall? Just curious, I am still on a wall and probably will be for awhile. I love handstands, not sure I will get into headstands. That just seems hard on the neck.
• Interesting about spinal twists being good for spine. I am now nervous to do twisting, because my back went out the first time in a twist. Granted I have a pre existing herniated disc lower back, and my mid back was super tight at the time from shoveling. Maybe my lower back was taking too much because of the shoveling,…
• My chiropractor I am seeing right now was talking about hot yoga. He said he has tried it at around 95 degrees and then another class higher than that. He said he felt like the 95 degrees was high enough. In the hotter classes he says he is too distracted by the heat to get as much benefit from the yoga. Maybe it was a tad…
• The one yoga studio I did go to for a beginner series , I had none of these issues! I feel very happy to have had such a good experience. I mainly practice at home now. All of the things mentioned would drive me nuts! Not what you want out of a yoga session :)
• I am with you on Yogaglo! I love it and I had no idea you could download some of the videos. Thats good to know , since occasionally my internet is sketchy.
• At the top of the home page I think there is a link called my yoga. Do it down and there is an option for beginners. This is where I started and from there just explored. I love it. All the teachers I have tried have been great so far.
• Great job! I can't wait to get there!!
• I read about that bullet proof coffee. I started putting some honey and coconut oil in my coffee and I really like it. I have it after my yoga though, about mid morning.
