  • Since I am new to Yoga, I think my goals this year are to get very comfortable with it and make it a weekly habit even if I get back to running this summer. I would also like to get my basic poses perfected to a point where I am not making mini corrections after getting into the pose and instead automatically fall into the…
  • I watch it on my laptop most the time and sometimes my Wii. I think it works on a Roku too
  • they have a 15 day trial and then $18 per month. I really love it. You can choose your classes by style of yoga, instructor, time and level. They have some great beginner series that goes through all the poses and styles slowly.
  • Thanks! I think I have tried the ones you have except dice. I will try him next!
  • I think you are right. The slowing down and focusing on the body makes you aware of those things!
  • Well that is good news. I have been sticking with the Yoga and love it so far. Using Yogaglo and also about to start a park district class just to check it out. I REALLY like Yogaglo. Fits my schedule really well. Now I just need to get my eating back under control. Having trouble getting back on the wagon with that!
  • I went ahead and joined Yogaglo and I am loving it. I feel the same way, it's something I can definitely stick with. I like running too , but keep ending up injured. I feel like the Yoga will make everything stronger, maybe less future injuries. The search feature is great on Yogaglo. So far I have done mostly basic stuff…
  • Hello, I am new to this group and new to Yoga. I just finished a five week in studio intro to Yoga to get the basics down. I was looking into Yogoglo and wondered if you were still using it, and if you still like it?
  • I was taking a bunch of vitamins then I saw someone say it was really hard on your kidneys or liver or something. I also keep reading how most of them don't do anything and are a waste of money. Then I read something about some studies that showed people that took regular vitamins lived a shorter life on average than…
  • I tried using protein powder a few times. Every time I had it in a shake, I would feel like munching. I think my body felt like I didn't eat real food or something. If I ate that much protein in real food I would be stuffed, but after the shakes I still wanted to eat.
  • After reading through Debbielyn's post and figuring out my numbers. Seems like the easiest thing to do is get your weight loss calorie number based on how much exercise you do. So the exercise is figured in up front and you don't eat back calories. I feel this is probably the best way, since it's so hard to calculate how…
  • Debbielynns post was a very informative reply to the OP. Thanks for all the information!
  • I have a sweet everyday. I can't stay away from cookies and my cherry chocolate chip soy ice cream from Trader Joes.
  • I have chia seeds every morning in my breakfast. I have sprinkled them into my scrambled eggs, in yogurt and in my oatmeal. If you have enough liquid and wait a little, they absorb it and become more of a gelatin and less of a seed type crunch. I prefer them that way. I have read if you want the filling benefits from them…
  • I throw Chia seeds and nuts in my morning oatmeal
  • I used to drink coffee with flavored creamer. I switched to black tea in the morning with nothing added. I like it much better. I still occasionally have coffee in afternoon with creamer.
  • I have read and heard when you sleep something is produced that helps curb hunger and stabilize things during the day. SO if you aren't sleeping, that is why you tend to snack more often. I do find this to be true with myself.
  • Definitely trying these this weekened!
  • I have been searching for this. Someone said it would be with the vegetables. I found regular squash, but I assume spaghetti squash is already pre cut into something that looks like spaghetti right?
  • I am still toying with this weekly calorie idea. I like it much better to eat the same calories every day, BUT I keep reading everywhere how important it is that you eat more on the days you work out. I think for muscle building/repair. If you are accounting for the higher amount of exercise calories, but just spreading it…
  • I think I have read it's normal to gain a little when you move up, but it should balance out once your metabolism gets used to more calories. Give the body time to adjust before cutting way back again. Also maybe move up by 100 calories a week. I am about 3 lbs from my goal weight. When I was within 10 lbs, I slowly…
  • Whenever I have started working out, I definitely felt thinner and more in shape before I looked it. That is normal. It's a process and keep it up and you will eventually see a change.
  • What kind of tea did you have? Black tea has about twice as much as green tea. I had to replace my morning coffee because it caused me acid reflux. I now drink black tea in the morning with nothing added. I recommend Harney & Sons Paris black tea. It's awesome!! I order through amazon.
  • I used "gmap-pedometer" to figure out how far I ran. If you save the route and put in your time, it will even give you your pace per mile. Just plug that into google and you should be able to find the website.
  • I have never tried this and was looking for it in the store recently. Is it usually near the other pastas?
  • I do the same as someone else said and throw some egg whites in my morning oatmeal. You can't taste them at all. I also throw Chai seeds in for some extra protein. My oatmeal ends up thick, but I like it that way!
  • So is this more of a weekly way of tracking calories? Your overall average for the week? I kind of like this idea if it works. I get used to eating more on days I work out, then it's harder to downsize on the days I don't. I would like to hear if anyone has been using this method and how it's working as far as continuing…
  • I have done some lifting on and off and am currently doing body lifting type activities, ie pushups. I read everywhere that you need to be "heavy lifting" . I definitely want to build muscle, since it burns more calories than fat and you look better weighing more. We do lose muscle with every year after a certain age, I…
  • I am going to try these soon. That's a very low calorie cookie and I LOVE cookies!
  • I am not going through this yet, but dreading it! I heard awhile back that when you go on the hormones to control it (I really don't want to do that) it just prolongs it. Lessens the symptoms but they continue longer. Does anyone know if that is true?
