Honestly - get a scale. Here are a bunch of inexpensive ones https://www.walmart.com/c/kp/food-scales I bought this one because the display pulls out so I can put large plates and bowls on it. OXO Good Grips 5-Pound Food Scale with Pull-Out Display, Black about 32 $ US. I've had it over three years now with no issues.
