Way to go Scott. Mind over mind...is that what happened today. What a GREAT NSV!

Great job! Well done, you look great.

That was a great read Scott. I love this: I can do that! One pound... one day... one exercise walk... one right eating choice at a time. Break it down like that and we can all do it! Thanks for the perspective!

That's Great! NSV really are special rewards all in themselves. Enjoy your new stuff!

Chris I sure am glad you got out the bike and went for a ride! I never played any team sports growing up and was more of an artsy kid in school so I have never been or been encouraged to be an athletic person. I feel awkward even when i go for a walk even though I realize people have better things to look at than me while…

Way to go, Scott. Some days I love the water, some days notsomuch. I do notice that it makes walking a whole lot easier when I'm properly hydrated. Every day is a new day to learn a new lesson, good job today. Barbara Houston, TX :)

It's a marathon, not a sprint. It's a marathon, not a sprint. It's a marathon, not a sprint. It's a marathon, not a sprint. Thanks for that reminder...I seem to need it daily.

Thanks for the kind encouragement. Eric, I got custom orthotics after my surgery and went to a specialty store to get fitted for good shoes. Check, and Check! I'm very confident that the burning is just my body wondering what the hell I'm doing to it. I have been EXTREMELY sedentary for quite a long time so it's just…

Thanks for the pats on the back, ya'll.

That was an awesome read! Thanks so much.

Awesome mcginger! I can't wait to start getting smaller jeans (or - even better - fitting back into the great ones that are already hanging in my closet) That's so cool that the saleslady recognized your accomplishment too! Way to go!

Great job getting back on track after vacation! We went to New Orleans a couple of weekends ago and, well, we took full advantage of their world famous cuisine and all that is a Bourbon Street booze fest! I got back on track when we got home though and that shocked me! I haven't seen the scale move much in the month that…

Great job not letting life get in the way of your goal. Good job for getting right back up and back on track!

Just like the black/African-American question from the brilliant OP, I want to know what the difference is between Mexican American, Hispanic, Latino, Tejano. If your BF is black and doesn't want to be called African American? Why do you refer to yourself as Mexican American? It's really hard to not say the wrong thing…

I love what you have to say here and it perfectly illustrates why we white people get confused. I know I don't want to offend anyone but in my 43 years the 'correct' terms have changed many times and I'm never sure what to say so I usually stick with black, white, asian or mexican when I find myself in the position of…

THAT was AWESOME! Well said.

That is NOT a TX thing. That's your personal thing.

Thanks for the inspiration, Scott. I love your infectious attitude! I commend you on your choice to go walk off your overage. Way to go. It may not be the easy thing, but it's the right thing. Well done.

This is the recipe I use also. It cleans everything really well. My husband runs a machine shop so his uniforms get pretty bad and they always come out smelling fine. Instructions can be found here: http://beingcreativetokeepmysanity.blogspot.com/2010/11/homemade-laundry-soap.html

I'm 43 and have lost 6 lbs in the months that I've been on MFP. If I keep going at this rate, I'll be where I want by my 44th in April. Any of you "oldies" can add me :)

I'm not getting my hair cut or colored until I lose 10% (23 lbs). I'm famous for my 203RR red hair, so this will be great inspiration.

Congratulations on the amazing results of your hard work. You look terrific and I bet your joints are thanking you!

Pinterest is awesome but it sure is a time stealer! I've made many recipes and craft projects from it. Got a lot of my wedding ideas from it. It's a great place to find all kinds of inspiration. My favorite quote from Pinterest: "You don't have to be great to start, but you do have to start to be great".

I had PF in 1997. My dr diagnosed it thru an xray. He put me on a round of steroids and it was gone in 2 days and I've never had that problem since. That pain is still clear as day because it is right up there with giving birth and kidney stones. Unfortunately, since that was so long ago, I couldn't tell you which pills I…

Congrats on your success. You are proof that slow and steady wins the race. I plan to lose slowly like that too so that it will stay gone forever. Love your positive attitude! Thanks for sharing.

My mini goal is 23 lbs. I'm not cutting or coloring my hair until I reach it. I've GOT to stick with it and make this happen because my grays are already screaming!
