My Own NSV

It is a bit of a story BUT here goes.. Yesterday..I weighed in 2 lbs ligher and made plans to go running with a friend after work. Had my lunch packed..got up early went to work. Did everything right...then hell hit...
Too long of a story to go into, suffice to say I ate from a vending machine and did not get to go running. Due to a family emergency and a hospital. Tried to make good choices, but sometimes hard to do when you can't leave the ER and get home at 8 p.m.
In the old days that would have started my downard spiral. BUT today instead I got up went running made myself a healthy breakfast and have everything planned for the whole day!
YEAH ME

Great job staying strong! Life can be so hard sometimes, it gets us down and we feel so hopeless. So proud of you for telling life that you are in charge of your body! Hope everything has smoothed out and whatever reason you were at the ER is a better situation now. Stay strong you can do this!0

Congrats - that is a huge mindset change that I too am finally beginning to really understand. I had a similar NSV this past week - I went on vacation, ate too much, felt guilty as usual. But, much to my surprise - I exercised and stayed active the whole time I was gone, and instead of quitting the diet after the vacation (as I would normally do), I got up the next day and got right back to it. It took 48 hours to be back to my weight as of the day I left. I realized, WOW - a few days of vacation doesn't mean I've ruined my whole week, or even month. Keep up the amazing work and great attitude and you will be where you hope to be in no time!!0

Thanks everyone for the encouragement. Even though it was bad day both eating and otherwise, I'm not gonna let it ruin my hard work.. today is a new day0

Great job getting back on track after vacation! We went to New Orleans a couple of weekends ago and, well, we took full advantage of their world famous cuisine and all that is a Bourbon Street booze fest! I got back on track when we got home though and that shocked me! I haven't seen the scale move much in the month that I've been on here but I can tell some mental changes are starting to take hold.0
