My son sells jewelry in a mall (big name chain) and lifts - he's very successful. He competes in all natural body building competitions. I think, and this may be the mom in me, that people are attracted to his build, and that is what makes him so successful. Nothing wrong with lifting - no matter what your profession. btw,…

Who cares what the scale says, how do your clothes fit? You said they are looser-cool! That should be your measuring factor. IMHO
-
The fitbit I have does not double as HRM. It does take steps on the elliptical, but probably not very accurate. it is just on how many steps you take. I used mine on the stair stepper and it didn't account for every step.

Test #3 was in Reader's Digest this most recent issue. It is pretty interesting to see what I consider a reasonably fit 52 year old man have troubles getting down and then up (oh, did that sound sexual or what?). I was pretty surprised that I was able to do this (50 yr old female) with no troubles.

This winter my limit is below zero F. Last winter I ran in below zero temperatures and my eyelashes had icicles hanging on them!
-
Only when we run, which is most weekends assuming the temperature is above 0 F!

Awesome job! I finished my first (and last) 1/2 marathon in 2.5 hours just last month. 2.5 was my goal, the cramping, spasming calves were not part of that goal. Keep going. Do one for me. I just have no desire!!

I have been stuck at or around 170 for 5 months - I increased my calories per day to 1500 and I eat back most, if not all, of my exercise calories. I run 2-3 times a week and do cardio/weight classes three times per week. I am 5'6", female, 49 years old. Anyone willing to help on that one? Also, I really am not obese…

We went out for breakfast and I was full after less than 1/2 my meal. I chose turkey sausage and egg whites rather than whole eggs. I just ran 6.7 miles, so I think I'll be good the rest of today!
-
Yesterday and today have been like that for me, and I'm not even low carb! I am hoping to see a lower number on the scale on Monday, but who knows. I only weigh myself once a month. I'm sure my appetite will come back. :flowerforyou:
