Hey Vismal! I have another question... You talked earlier about fasting and on days that I know I'm going to go over or the day after I "fudged" I would like to fast to make up for the over intake of calories for the weekly average to be where it should be. My question is that I have been doing the ice cream fitness 5x5…

Originally I am from Yakima, WA but I've been living in upstate New York for the last 3 years. I really miss the northwest and Portland is where my husband is able to transfer his job. I've been there several times and I really like it. So... I know how you feel about missing it! I had to move back! Where did you move to?

Ill have to check that out. Thanks!

Thanks for the replies everyone! I have never heard of Spirit Mountain Casino... but I do plan on traveling to the Oregon Coast quite a bit since I have family there, plus who doesn't want to go to Tillamook for some cheese!? :-) I'll have to check that out! Thanks!

He's not being defensive... he's being informative. People have a tendancy of seeing morbidly obese people on a daily basis, especially in America, and so they no longer see them as morbid, just obese. People think of morbid obesity as people like the half ton killer, or having to weigh 500 extra pounds. If people would…

Hello fellow nurse (... or soon to be:-) ) I am also a nurse, looking to lose some weight. Feel free to add me! I'm pretty social on here so I'll chat with you and respond :-)

She looked too good in a bathing suit.

I have a question: (I apologize if you already answered this... I will be reading all your pages but have only gotten to the first 6 so far and I also work nights and need to get to bed...) Did or do you use any supplements of any kind? (Also, a friend just was telling me that weights are better for cardio and after seeing…

3 days in a row for me for vigorous exercises! Had to keep today just cardio though cause I have to work a 16 hour shift tonight and needed to sleep at some point! Normally I would have just skipped exercise and slept extra instead but having you all has really helped keep me going! I know we've only just begun but I feel…

Open mouth chewing! Especially chewing gum since there's no "swallow break" Drives me nuts!

There's definitely no harm in starting higher, especially if you feel hungry all the time or feel worn down. I would just suggest working toward that as a goal.

Actually, it's not wrong. You should eat to be the size you want to be. If you eat like you're 200 lbs you will be 200 lbs. If you eat like your 150 you will get to be 150. It's much healthier than aiming for the 1200 calories that MFP states you should eat. If allows for progressive weight loss, which is healthier and…

Keep in mind that all those numbers are just estimates. Every body is different depending on your metabolism. Also, you are doing strength training. Is your pants fitting smaller around your butt or waist? Are your arms more toned? For the strength training I would rely on your measurements and less on the scale as a…

I'm so sorry for your loss. I just went through the same thing. I found out I miscarried the day after my 28th birthday. We had been trying and it was our first success. I am also looking to lose weight to be healthier and hopefully provide a perfect little "oven" for the next attempt. You can add me if you like! I love to…

You look amazing! Congratulations! Stories like these really help me keep motivated! Thank you for sharing!

I don't want to be built either, just toned. I've been told that doing light weights but lots of repetition is the best way to get toned. If you do heavy weights you will get big muscles. I try to do the light and lots method! Good luck!

I enjoy most forms of exercise when I'm actually doing it... for some reason it's the getting there that I struggle with. If I can convince myself to put on my workout gear and go I'll enjoy it but I think I just have been letting myself slack off and been lazy. During this 30 day challenge, I'm looking to lose 8-10 lbs.…

Well, I'm not positive how much you should adjust that to... What I would suggest is try to find out how many calories you "lose" through breastfeeding and add that to the 1200 calories. You don't want your supply to dry up because of poor nutrition. I found on google that its around an extra 500 calories a day. So I would…

Giving into your cravings is not all bad! If you know you are going to eat it, plan it into your diet. Then try to keep portion control!. Maybe just eat one taco, or share your fav dish with someone. Next, eat it slow and savor it so you don't scarf it down in 2 seconds. You don't have to deprive yourself, but keep those…

Any calorie deficit will cause weight loss, however the bigger the deficit the bigger the weight loss. HOWEVER! There are only 3 basic sources of energy; fat, protein, and carbs. Fat has the most "energy" per calorie so it takes longer for your body to break it down, then protien, then carbs. This is why you feel so…

I'd try a different exercise routine. You can get "muscle memory" which is when your body gets used to your exercise so it actually burns less calories doing it because it is so routine. Try doing something totally different to "confuse" your muscles to increase the amount of calories you burn. It's likely that since you…

I have 2 suggestions: 1st: do everything others have said about weighing food.. 2nd: remember that muscle weighs more than fat. You just did a couch to 5k app and theres no way you did not gain muscle in the process!

Samantha, SLLRunner is completely right. You have to give it more time. Healthy weight and diet changes are like running a marathon. You get very little instant gratification. Keep at it! I lost 40 lbs the first time I did this. I'm starting again at 0 trying to lose more here on myfitnesspal. I only will weight myself…

http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/vasovagal-syncope/DS00806 check out this website about vaso vagal and see if it fits what happened to you.

low blood sugar would not cause your heart rate to drop that suddenly. However, if you vaso vageled that would cause your heart rate to drop and cause you to faint. A UTI can make you more prone to vaso vageling since it is extra stress on your body.

Another culprit could be hyperventilation. If you get you CO2 level too low you can easily get dizzy and lightheaded. Often you also get nauseated and can have some numbness or tingling in your hands or feet. This is usually hard to do when you are exercising since your body is requiring more o2 and your cells are doing…
