Has anyone here tried to guess the calories in food and still have lost weight on a weekly basis? For me I've been losing fat really slowly since June, so it seems like I'm miscalculating my calories. I should in theory be losing 2 pounds per week.

I'm currently cutting on 2200 calories, should I lower that a little more because weight loss is really slow. My maintenance prior was around 2500-2800 calories a day. The only reason why I'm afraid of lowering the calories too much is because of the potential for a lot of muscle loss.

Yeah, I asked this question here because I saw that a lot of people lift and are trying to gain muscle, so I didn't want to bother people who don't. If that makes any sense.

Lol guys my family eats healthy because well they weren't born in America and still eat like they did in their own. That's not the problem. The issue I have is trying to figure out how many calories is in the food with no labels. I use a scale and weigh it out, but then what do I do, guess the numbers for the ingredients?…

It shouldn't be about losing weight, you should really consider relying on body fat percentage rather than a scale but even that is not a measure of good health.
