Pictures do help keep me focused as well, I just broke a plateau (my first) and they are frustrating, I empathize! Keep up the good work, you look great! Every healthy choice is a win!

I've had a polar FT4 for 8 months, I use it 5-6 days/week and sometimes multiple times per day. I love knowing the most accurate count for my workouts. I only use intentional exercise (or major projects, like we're in the middle of completely gutting our basement and garage to refinish) and it has been invaluable in my…

I'm running in an event tonight in a race shirt with the runjunkees bib on!! Don't have Facebook, but I follow Dan (@runjunkee) on twitter and am psyched that people can come together and grieve in such a positive uplifting way!

Female, 5'10" SW 300 CW 189.5 GW 150-170 I'm most concerned about body fat %, toning & inches lost at this point!

Gorgeous, I re shared on twitter! Thanks Nathan! ❤

Oh also there's a pretty cool video on YouTube that shows how inaccurate using measuring cups or spoons are versus using a food scale. If you don't use a food scale I would say they're worth 100x their $15 price tag in this journey. A great investment!

I definitely recommend a HRM for a more accurate count. I've found MFP to vary quite a bit vs. my PolarUSA HRM. I really really try to eat because I'm hungry and not because of my calorie count. Since I have an established workout schedule I know which days I will have the biggest deficits and therefore try to plan my…

I use iBootcamp and Nike Training apps while working out at home sometimes. I have adjustable Dumbbells that go up to 20#. My advice is that you should be pushing yourself enough to be sore but not in pain, your body should know the difference. A common theory with lifting is when you're lifting your lightest weights you…

It's great to shop out of season for workout clothes also, so what I mean is buy summer clothes at the end of the warm season and winter clothes at the end of the cold season. I run outside a lot so this is more vital to me than when working in the gym. Sports Authority has great sales too!

Hi, I LOVE working out because I still love to eat lol. I work out 6 days a week. My schedule is Monday: Cross Train (step & sculpt classes, cardio & strength training), Tuesday: Run, maybe an additional light workout, Wednesday: Cross Train (step & sculpt classes, cardio & strength training), Thursday: Run, maybe an…

Hi, I'm 31 full time SAHM, married and have been with hubby for 10+ years. Started at 300 pounds and weighed in today at 189.5, hoping to get to 150, but I'd be happy at 170. I'm 5'10" and large frame. I have fourteen tattoos but I took all my piercings out because I wasn't really into them anymore. My "treat" for hitting…

Jay Robb Whey Protein (vanilla) is all natural (no hormones and no artificial sweeteners) and I think it tastes great with 1.5% dairy milk or vanilla soy milk. I got it at Vitamin Shoppe. I also like the premixed Kirkland premier protein vanilla shakes from Costco.

I have a healthy BF% and an overweight BMI, 189.5 pounds, 70" tall.

The only thing I can tell you is that one gallon of water is a little over 8 pounds. You'll have to decide how relevant it is to your question. I don't know anymore on the topic ???? P.S. glad you further added to your topic post since we all know 2 pounds is 2 pounds whether it's muscle, fat, bricks or feathers. ????

Most alcohol doesn't have any healthy attributes (minor exceptions like red wine) it is high in calories, it metabolizes as fat, it typically increases appetite, it dehydrates you... Oh wait you said 2 things.... Lol. If you don't have a problem/dependency on alcohol I say go ahead and indulge occassionally or socially but…

I weigh EVERYTHING with a food scale. I track EVERYTHING honestly. I workout like it's my JOB! I think I've been successful ????????

I literally waited until I had lost 90 pounds before I bought new clothes. I looked absolutely horrific in clothes that were a good 4-6 sizes too big. I suggest buying at least one item each time you drop a size. Now I have about 90-100 pieces in my current size, which is six sizes down from where I started. I'm hoping to…

5-6 days/week, usually strength & cardio mix, but occassionally separately. Workouts are typically 90-150 minutes (1.5 - 2.5 hours).
