39 year old banker dad here. I have two daughters and I like to spend my free time hiking or haunting the woods. I am on a mission to make a lifestyle change and lose another 40lbs or so. Looking for someone other than myself to congratulate on login streaks and weight loss notices.

Been on MFP for years and when I'm active it always helps. Problem is that without others checking on you and setting the example you need sometimes it's easy to fall off. Trying again. 36/m with at least 30lbs to lose for my health. Looking for active members or at least people who want to be active.

I'm a phoenix reborn. Or I'm starting over again at least. Calling all accountability partners. Send me an invite.

Been on MFP for a while but starting back logging. Intermittent fasting and caloric deficit for health and weight loss. I try and add new friends each time I start back up. Send me an invite

Been on MFP for years. Since 2012 and I have had progress and regress, just trying to make a concerted effort again. Deleted all my old friends who gave up on me and starting fresh. Starting weight 255 (2012) Current weight 258, Lowest weight 228 (2016) Highest weight 264.

I know that no device can give me actuals but in an effort to be more accountable while calorie counting I am trying to put a pin at least close to my calories burned.

Losing a lb a week is fine. Losing weight while building muscle is possible to some degree but is a lofty goal. Building and sculpting usually requires a caloric surplus and heaps of protein.

Very active logger and user here. I am always looking for new friends to help in their journey. I'm half way to my first goal and still killing it. Send me an invite

Always adding new friends.

Daily poster/logger here. Looking for new friends, currently here to lose weight. Send me a request!

If you are at a deficit you could become catabolic and in such a state its common that you not only lose fat but that you also lose some muscle. I'm not sure but I would assume lifting might help stave off muscle loss, but like you said if you hope to gain muscle mass you need to have a surplus

I know that IIFYM (If It Fits Your Macros) is a thing. Its interesting as well but I the more strict a diet the harder it is for me to stick with.

I am also looking for more friends so feel free to add me also, thanks!

I'm in the market for some friends to help keep me motivated. In more of a team player and doing it alone is a challenge

In the market for some friends my self. Not new to MFP but have never fully committed. Never had a support system. I have about fifty lbs I want to lose and my journey starts now.

I haven''t noticed an effect at all. Maybe its just too deep.

I do some heavy lifting and usually I don't really get sore but since I'm just getting back into working out and I haven't taken a break for 3 days I am pretty much sore all over. Figured it would be a good time to try it out for muscle soreness. I assume since soreness is mostly due to acid in the muscles that it should…

Yeah, I eat back the calories I lost on the treadmill but the site didn't compensate from the calories burned during heavy lifting. Protein shakes usually help a little but just to dampen my appetite. My appetite truly fluctuates and I often have to make myself eat a meal. I own a lawn service so I am in the sun a lot.

Would have to say I like the Decline Chest press most.
