  • Exactly this. If you're dieting then the diet ends and you have to learn all over again. If you are changing your diet to a healthier one yet still allowing yourself the freedom to have what you want, just in moderation, it's more likely to stick around when you reach your goal.
  • As someone who was named after a grandmother and great grandmother, I go by an off the wall high school nickname(at 27 still using this name-Josie) Don't do that to your child... Give them at least one name that is their own! I may have went too far with my daughter, but her name is definitely her own.. Senteria Rose Sin…
  • Here's a little versatile mix.. a serving of meat 4-6 oz Chicken, fish, turkey etc If the meat is really lean I'll add 1/2-1tbls of oil, coconut oil, or butter a large serving of frozen vegetables(frozen tastes soooo much better than canned and I tend to let fresh go bad..) 100- 150g of sweet peas, broccoli florets,…
  • I don't like peanuts in anything... like snickers or crunchy peanut butter... but I like peanuts by themselves and creamy peanut things... Cordial cherries... I can pick out the cherry and eat it and then eat the chocolate and cream, but eating it as a whole piece makes me want to grind my teeth... same for cherry ice…
  • I'm wondering if I'm going to find a "Oops I misread the OP." later on...
  • Hi love, I'd recommend that you start logging right away. I usually log just what I'm eating normally first(couple of days) then move it towards my goal over the course of a week or two. It makes the transition easier for me, but that's just my personal opinion. As already said, how ever you can start, just start, doesn't…
  • About this... might be relevant if your gastric system has been altered to something that resembles a funnel(I agree with the part about surgery ), but I don't think that the sphincters(sp?) care.
  • I thing it's just a matter of preference... I don't need a drink while eating... My partner and our daughter do... I do usually like to have a drink after I'm done eating though. Possibly related to this claim is - thirst is often confused with hunger. If you are in fact thirsty and you eat a meal, you could still be…
  • Fantastic and wooooww! Sooo jealous of those arms! Awesome!
  • Personally I did not puff my e-cig indoors or any place that I would not normally smoke... I think of it this way- Years ago people smoked when they were pregnant, in the room with their children, and where ever they wanted to with no one really thinking about it... Then all the bad stuff came to light and what happened?…
  • To test out your scale... Weigh an object... Then weigh yourself... Then weigh yourself while holding the object, if this adds up then it's highly unlikely that it's recording a gain when you're losing. One week is a very small amount of time in a weight loss journey. While many people experience a woosh of water weight…
  • So I went and had a nosey look at your diary... There's not even any BBQ... O.O I was expecting the biggest bbq list ever with ribs n cheese burgers pies n cake and red white and blue cup cakes... : /
  • I like that... If I ever have a day that bad, I'll have to consider that.. I have logged a recipe called "Buffet" before lol
  • 2205 which was only 60 calories over my maintenance goal for the day :) BBQ chicken was my main consumption lol yay protein! :)
  • I usually start by dicing it up(1-2 inch squares-ish) throw it in the skillet with a little oil(1tbs or so) and about 1/2 cup of water. Medium heat. Add what ever seasonings you like- I like onion and garlic and parsley generally. When it's cooked through I add about another 1/2 cup of water and add 100g of what ever…
  • Took my before pictures today... I've been avoiding it... but now they're done... comparing them to my previous before pictures is a good motivator as well..
  • Hi Cindy, request sent! Thanks and glad you found MFP! This is an awesome place to be, definitely the most helpful site that I have found.
  • Thank you. My problem lies in that when I'm not tracking I start to forget meals and I eat less and less until I start binging again. While I'm tracking I do not withhold my favorites, or splurges. It's very sustainable for me, I just get lazy and stop tracking and begin the cycle again... I set myself to maintenance and…
  • Fabulous work! Congrats!
  • If anyone else is on a similar journey please feel free to share your story here as well.
  • ^^ This. Stick with your normal plan.
  • If you continue to accept it, he will continue as he's doing. It's a game to him, or possibly even flirting(?) You have to take ownership of your actions. You only have as much or as little control as you grant yourself. So either eat it and log it, or take it to his workspace, trash it and make it clear that you do not…
  • Also I have very few friends left that are still active, and would like some more. Things that relate to friending me- I'm a foody... I eat between 1600-3000 a day. I don't punish myself. I'm not a cardio bunny. I work part time in an extremely physical job which I log and = huge seemingly nonsensical exercise numbers. I'm…
  • I speculate that my under eating stems from me being forced to clear my plate when I was growing up which resulted in my never being happy with my body and having an unhealthy relationship with food where I always feel like I'm over eating, even when I'm losing weight. And I would think that the binge is my body's way of…
  • I had a belt with about 16 oz total water capacity (split into several different smaller bottles), but I really found it irritating, but I got it at Walmart... Only way I've been able to run with water is with two water bottles one in each hand, but only in certain circumstances and usually I just try to keep hydrated over…
  • I haven't done that on a dating site, but I did meet my partner on yahoo... 7 years n a beautiful 5 year old later.. gotta say, some things are worth the risk, even if they don't turn out how ya plan. n I wasn't looking... I was still in highschool(18 year old senior)
  • ... I'm pretty sure I'm a southern gal, but I have no idea what you're referring to lol.... ~Texas here ~Josie
