I have more control and less over eating if I eat my first meal around 3-4pm(I get up ~10am-noon) then I have one more large meal and a couple of snacks after that. I think the best thing is what helps you adhere to your plan/macros/calorie goals. Just my humble, personal opinion. :)

Certain mios in unsweetened tea is good. I like chamomile tea, diet dr pepper, water, watered down koolaid(to the point of being lightly flavored water) but mostly I just drink water cuz it's simple or diet dr pepper or diet mountain dew if I want caffeine.

Just keep telling yourself the truth. you're body is probably freaking out a bit, and clearly you're retaining water, try to up your water intake and maybe watch your sodium. It's only necessary if you think it is. For me- my breakfast is at ~4pm (I get up between 10am-noon usually) If I eat when I first get up I'm starving for the rest of the day. It's more important how it makes you feel and how it works for your goals. :)

I don't repeat a lot of meals- but I do use the same basics, I just "garnish" them differently chicken+veg for lunch/dinner(I only do breakfast and lunch/dinner) +________and usually +cheese mmmm eggs or oatmeal or eggs + oatmeal for breakfast simple and doesn't require much effort or storage space.
