I'm 5'9 161 lbs and HAD been eating 15-1800 calories per day while working out 6x a week. I'm being told this is too low and ramping up my calories to 2k with some carb cycling. I have been gaining...not losing:(

GOALS- 1-stop obsessing about my weight 2- 300lb deadlift 3-175lb back squat 4-eat more to keep my metabolism healthy B

Agreed. My stress/cortisol is directly correlated to my attachment of my body image.

THANK YOU:) I am familiar with Layne Norton and have contacted him before. What I have is metabolic damage from years of cutting calories and this can happen to ANYONE at anytime if you don't get proper calories. I felt 15/1700 was enough as I was not hungry but it was down regulation. I'm working on getting in enough…

I've been to more doctors than I can list...they all say I'm fine and that my calories are too low. I've had more blood pulled than some lab rats... 15-1800 is too low long term. Eventually your metabolism gets down regulated which creates a domino effect for other hormonal issues.

I have hypothyroidism but according to my last few blood tests, the current levels are optimal. I think there is a lot of room for mistakes regarding thyroid because I don't feel optimal. I wish there were better thyroid Dr's in TX.

Honestly, It sounds like you're currently In starvation mode which is why your body refuses to give up any weight/fat. I was on 1500/1700 calories a day for a couple years which worked for a while....until my metabolism slowed down to a turtles pace. You absolutely need healthy fat in order to lose bodyfat.

Adding that my BF% is around 27% hence I have not gained muscle, I've lost it:(

Hi Everyone~ I think this is the right forum for what I'm trying to do "Eat more to eventually weigh less" I thought I was the pillar of health and strength but after a lot of hard lessons with my body, it seems I have been starving myself for years. I'm 39 years old, 5'9 and 160lbs. I've been eating around 1500-1800…

I'd get it in the dropper form..it's fantastic before cardio.

What is your height and weight? 1400 still feels low for 3-4 miles a day of running. B

Adding to this that I'm currently backing off from my HIIT and trying to get into...yoga. Ugh.
