Once your levels are dialed in with medication, you should fall within average range for age/gender/height/weight.
You can't really ask the question you asked and expect to find a number. Find your own personal TDEE and deduct calories from that to lose weight.0 -
i am 5.2 ft and i started at 1200 and didn't lose much, upped to 1400 and started losing. i stayed around that for my 1st 20 lb loss and then i started strength training and upped to 1600. i only exercise 30-45 min a day 4-5 days a week. I found it hard to lose the weight, it was a very SLOW process. i lost the same amount of weight at 1200 as i did at 1400, but it was more consistent. i only lost 1.5 lbs a month max! I am on meds and my levels are apparently normal, lol except i am still a freezer0

I have hypothyroidism that is controlled with medication. In my experience I actually lose weight at the same rate as someone without thyroid issues as long as I don't make the target too aggressive. If I dip below about 1500 calories per day, my weight loss stalls (I actually have other hormonal imbalances, so this may not be exclusively due to the hypothyroidism though).
ETA: If you have a significant amount of weight to lose, I would suggest getting your TSH levels checked frequently as you are losing. After my initial 40 pound loss, the amount of thyroxine I needed was significantly reduced and I had some awful hyperthyroid symptoms!0 -
I am just over 5'5", have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism for 12 years and have been well controlled for about ten.
I eat 1200 - 1400 calories per day to lose 0.5 - 0.75kg per week, in addition I eat back about half of my exercise calories. Before my thyroid stopped working I would have lost about 1kg a week on this regime!
I suspect that my thyroid was a little overactive previously (my normal temperature used to be 1 to 2 degrees higher than now and my resting pulse rate was about 10 bpm higher) and this may be why I now feel that losing weight is now so such a long slog. :grumble:0 -

I am 5'8 and currently at 173lb... I eat between 1700-1900 per day and do heavy lifting 3x a week.

No, not at all. I think in my case (and probably others) we may not shed it as quick and instead of losing 1-2lb per week it might be .5lb instead. Either way, I have lost 10lbs since starting (a little over a month) and continue to move forward. I eat alot :bigsmile:0 -
I'm 5'9 161 lbs and HAD been eating 15-1800 calories per day while working out 6x a week.
I'm being told this is too low and ramping up my calories to 2k with some carb cycling.
I have been gaining...not losing:(0 -
My numbers have been in flux for a couple of years and have finally come back ok. My weight loss has been much slower than most but hopefully now I will see it being more on track with the norm. It is not impossible to lose even when your meds are not quite right.0
