Honestly, I never realized how intense the cravings could be / how directly they correlated with my hormone levels until this past week when I was put on short term progesterone. Oh my god I literally thought I might DIE if I didn't eat my bodyweight in sugar. At a certain point, short of being locked in a padded cell,…

Hello Officer! What I meant was that my protein goal was higher than MPF's settings (changed my post to reflect that) and on the high end for my calorie intake (reference: my doctor). I am not a body builder and I am certainly not eating a super-high protein diet. Hell, I am eating a conscious, primarily vegetarian,…

Smari is good too and sold in the US!

I used to eat Fage all the time (and still do on occasion) but my current favorite is Siggis or Smari plain icelandic-style skyr. It is higher protein and lower sugar than Fage (and other greek varieties). I love love love the tartness of it and it is such a perfect counterbalance for fruit and muesli. Really hate / can't…

I would suggest: Egg whites, regular eggs, tofu, tempeh, soy beans, dry roasted soynuts, lentils, fish, greek OR Icelandic yogurt, cottage cheese. I don't eat red meat or poultry, and I have a higher protein goal than MPF originally set for me. I base all my meals around protein which has allowed me to feel satiated /…

I think this is a pretty perfect thing to say. It doesn't really spark conversation, but it totally shows that you are enjoying the meal, without forcing you to eat more to prove it.

Thanks for your feedback everyone! And yes I am pretty short so my weight reflects that. Just started strength training - can't wait to feel stronger / more physically able! (also - to clarify, I have lost weight pretty slowly - over the past 3 months I have lost perhaps 15lbs, but the first 25 was over the course of 1.5…

People (besides me!) are actually starting to notice my weightloss. Also... I can run now. Like, it is fun to move and my body enjoys the exertion!

I used to make goals for myself for certain weight markers, and always failed to achieve them... Now, I have been thinking more about health daily (rather than an abstract number) and have had much more success. ALTHOUGH WHEN I REACH MY GOAL I AM BUYING A PAIR OF JEANS.

Ok! Definitely will try upping the fats and getting my cardio in more frequently. Thank you guys so much for your help! :)

My weight change hasn't been as drastic as others, but I still have noticed a lot of shift. Not from my friends, (although my bestie keeps making fun of me for counting calories) but from people, usually men, on the street. :/ Nice to know that people think I look good, but sometimes feels a bit invasive.

Thank you for the suggestions! I am looking at fitnessblender now!

I have 2.5! A lot of my clothes just DON'T look good anymore, because they are too big! (One in itself) BUT I then decided to try on my best friend / roommates pants. He is a thin boy, and his pants fit!! And if my memory serves me, they were a pair that was skintight on him. The other one was this afternoon my (new)…

I agree with all the things said above. To add: I also taste SALT like none other now. I don't add it to anything really but I can really really taste it in things.

curious about this too

I add them to yogurt, just sprinkled on top, and then add fruit. Masks the flavor. :)

I stopped to try a sample of froyo (even though I swear it's like... 40 degrees out) and I was able to assess and realize that I didn't actually want to eat it. That the reason that I was considering was a) habit and b) emotional. And then I walked away. :) (also don't know if this is a victory or not, but a lot of my…

Did you stay within your nutritional goals? YES Did I reach today's personal goal? Sort of, worked for $$, but had a bad fight with J and a tiff with M (probs due to fight w J). What did I do today that I am proud of? Worked with Melissa. Made new friend at BHF What would I have done differently? Ignored J, not had that…
