I am doing this day by day for the bikinis. I welcome more friends. If you are looking for a quick fix, limit salt, processed food and anything that makes you bloated 3 days prior to wearing your bikini. Something else to think about, for short (5’2”)people like me 5 pounds is the same as a dress size. 5 pounds can easily…

:( I am really bad with this. The last two nights I continued to eat late. Today, I decided to eat smaller meals and just plan for a 4th meal between 8pm and Midnight. At least this way I am eating a nutritious meal and not late night junk. Maybe it will work for you?

No problem! Hope you feel better

Chest workouts!!!!! When I first started I couldn’t even really tell what I was working out because there wasn’t any muscle to flex. Push-ups/modified push-ups.... an exercise I jokingly call hugs—-basically lay down on a bench/floor with your dumbbells and reach around an imaginary person to form a circle... there is a…

I use capsaicin ointment, foam rollers, epsom baths and a TENS unit for general aches and soreness. If it is really painful, I would go see a doctor

Just holding heavier weights can make your posture all weird... that could easily cause your back to be sore. Have you tried back exercises or core exercises?

If I don’t have the calories for an entire pint, I don’t even bother buying it

I have looked up this question and the best answer is 10 pounds is roughly 1 inch. That being said, I worked out a ton this last year, lost about 5 pounds and 3 inches off my hips and another 4 or so inches off my waist. I am 5’2 and 5 lbs usually is an inch off my hips and an inch off my waist.

I like 1/2 scoop of Vortex 1MR in a cup or two of water. It gives me a kick in the pants without making feel jittery or tingly.

I wasn’t trying to knock the wonderful advancements of Western medicine. In all disciplines, there are providers with verying degrees of knowledge. There are numerous examples of life saving treatment that Western medicine provides. A couple of the many examples are antibiotics and vaccination.

Holistic medicine is fascinating and can be an extremely beneficial adjunct to Western medicine. My problem with holistic medicine is it is often administered recklessly. When administered properly, I think holistic medicine is great. What we take in greatly effects how our body functions. Personally, I take D mannose,…

I don’t have a heart rate monitor or anything fancy. I count cardio as 600 calories an hour and strength training at 300 calories an hour. I am sweating while doing my strength training. If I did back to back super sets I might count my strength training at 450 calories an hour. That is just a guesstimate for me so I don’t…

I am trying to lose 7 and then probably 5 more, lol. It helps me to break up my goal a bit. I am trying to lose 7 pounds by January 1st and then I will re-evaluate at the new year. I would love some new friends that have similar goals. We can do it!
-
I like to do a mini goal for myself. If I know there will be donuts at work, I write down that I will stay away from the donuts. If I think that I should work on staying hydrated, I might do a goal that I should drink 8 or more glasses of water. The goals are easy so I feel more obligated to do it. I try not to deprive…

HAHAHA no. I do try to switch to tea later in the day if i want a warm beverage but it too often has caffeine

Frozen fruit is fun in the summer. I eat a lot of fruit when the cravings are strong. I mix peanut butter and chocolate to form a fudge like treat. I just dont care if I want a donut every morning... I just dont do it. I look at it the same way as sometimes I want to smack my sister but I dont do it... some things just…

I yoyo'ed for years... all my adult years, lol, until this last year. I dont know what clicked for me last year but I decided I had enough. I started exercising at home because I didnt want anyone to see me. Then I started going to the gym again. I slowly started eating better, just every day better choices. I had a couple…

My favorite is cold oatmeal with milk, raisins, pumpkin pie spice and sometimes brown sugar. I add extra milk so it isnt so thick.

I have an extremely weak point that normally stretches from 2 pm to 6 pm. I dont know why but I am guessing it has something to do with not eating enough for lunch. Are your calories too minimal for the beginning of the day?
-
At 5:30 AM, I would do pre-workout and then that is it. If it was later in the day, I would shoot for carbs before working out. I often eat fruit before a workout.
-
Have you tried to pre-log your food to stay on track? A lot of people find it helpful.

Oatmeal+cinnamon+raisins Raw veggies with dressing or hummus Salad Fruit Cottage cheese, yogurt Sandwiches and soup Mixed nuts

I would try homemade breads where you can control the salt and sugar. Yeast has to have sugar to work but it isn't all that much. Homemade recipes are fine without salt, at least the recipes I have used. For me that added salt doesn't improve anything. In biscuits, I use herbs to add flavor.

I know there is a lot of information out there saying it is ok and other information saying it isnt. I chose not to consume artificial sweeteners because I personally believe extensively processed foods arent as healthy. I dont think it necessarily effects weight loss although I read somewhere that artificial sweeteners…

I have the Garden of Life Meal Replacement Shake. It is just as high in protein but with added nutrients. I have tried all the flavors and they are all pretty gritty. I drink them because I like what they have in them. I am just wondering how the sport version compares. Has anyone tried both the meal replacement shake and…

Bmi isn't terribly reliable for those that work out as it compares height and weight only. Bmi doesn't differentiate between fat and muscle. A woman could be 130 lbs with 30% bf or 18% bf.

Pardon my math, lol. I am still drinking coffee. I meant 600 calories per hour for intense cardio and 300 calories for moderate to easy exercise. I use that because some of the exercises don't take into account intensity. If I do 50 floors on the stair stepper in 15 minutes I am burning far less calories than if I do 100…

Have you had your body fat tested? I am shooting for 21% body fat and should be close to a barely there 6 pack. I have 24% body fat now and can already see a bit of abs through my belly fat.

Healthish 1) frozen banana slices with a drizzle of chocolate and some crushed walnuts on top 2) fake fudge 1/4 cup pb, 1/4 cup semi sweet chocolate chips, 1-2 TBS cocoa powder (unsweetened) melt together and form a big square. Then after it cools in the fridge you can cut little fidget squares

Tricep dips off a sturdy chair, bench or sofa are good! I know push-ups are good for chest but they seriously help my arms too since they are a work in progress. Wall push-ups or knee push-ups will work just fine. Originally I bought a little dumbbell set with 3, 5 and 8 pounds from Walmart and that helped get me on track…
