I have been there too. I have to remind myself treats and fatty food is not a reward. Start a treat jar fund. Every time you want a treat put a dollar in and then go spend it on new clothes or trinkets.

I think eating clean is the best but doesn't necessarily lead to weight loss. Weight loss comes from a calorie deficit no matter what your diet is. Can you eat a simple piece of chocolate or other treat that you can pronounce all the ingredients? Maybe a homemade pudding pop or other treat?

Your body is meant to use your own fat for calories when you aren't eating enough. As long as you et enough protein you can build muscle while eating a calorie deficit

I hate running/jogging outside but I have a couple apps that make it pleasant. Pandora and c25k are the best. Pandora for the music and the c25k app tells me when it is time to jog and when to walk. It starts with one minute jogging intervals. It really isn't bad

If I am full, I don't worry about eating extra calories. One day, I may be good with 800 calories and then the next day eat 1600. It all balances out. I have never forced myself to eat when I am not hungry

My idea of a detox diet is to eat lots of fruit, lots of veggies, some protein and tons of water. I do feel better doing this but consider it more of a long term diet of not eating processed junk.

Think 1 cup potato flakes with preservatives with 2 TBS processed margarine and 1 cup milk for over 500 calories vs chicken thigh, 2 cups steamed broccoli, grilled ear of corn and 2 cups fresh strawberries for under 500 calories. My ex had a cupboard special for his really bad food. I made a point not to even open it and look... It helped me

I would starve doing that. Knowing that I don't have a good eye for it, I just use a kitchen scale. It works for me

I eat more fruit and veggies; more volume and less calories. I would also drink more water. Maybe try adding some citrus to your water to make it more appealing

It is easiest for me to lose weight when I reduce eating carbs like pasta, rice and potatoes. I eat plenty of carbs in my fruit and veggies and they keep me much fuller

God also made me white. If I went nude, all my bits would be a pretty blistering red . Ouch

I have a body shape similar-ish to yours. I find form fitting tops with a knee length flowing skirt is very attractive, especially belted. I like dresses that have this style and tend to get a lot of complements when wearing them. Hope this helps!

I struggle with the social aspect of food so I definitely sympathize. One thing I do at buffets is to keep my food separate. I really do that because I don't like my food mixed but it helps with not helping your plate. I then limit myself to 2 plates. Try to fill each plate at least half full of fruit and veggies. I work 12.5 hour shifts and have a 3 hour commute. I was up for 24 hours and went jogging (this only happened once, lol). It can be done. I just have to remind myself where my priorities are. You can do it too:smile:

I am kind of in the same boat. I just started the couch to 5k plan. I have an ap so I can listen to music while I jog. I have another ap that tells me when it is a jogging or walking interval. I actually find it pleasant which is something very new to me

Just curious and maybe you can explain... Why doesn't the process produce ATP (energy). If these compounds are similar to the breakdown of protein, do they enter the citric acid cycle and go through the electon transport chain? Are not calories just the amount of ATP that results? But aspartame is calorie (energy) free.…
