For me, I would let the scale be the ultimate judge and go from there. If I need to i adjust my calories from maintain to lose 1/2 lb a week. That has worked for me. Sounds like you had a great Thanksgiving! :D

If I am on here I am logging everything. All adds up to a total. I get easily confused by deciding what to log and not to log. If it has a calorie I count it. Ok maybe I've skipped a pickle or two along the way. ;)

For me the first 20-25 pounds was easy. The rest took a little longer or so it seemed so. Yeah I exercised regularly but being very strict on my calorie counts is what I think made the difference. Pickles when I was at a lower calorie intake were my go to when I get home snack. I don't know how nutritious they are but Good and crunchy I also do olives now. Not as low calorie but not very high.

I think I would work on being able to just complete the distance with a combination of walking and running at a comfort level that suits you.
