Great job!!! I did C25K almost a year ago. I remember the first week being the hardest and now I am going to start training for a half marathon in a few weeks! Best of luck to you and keep it up!!!!

Bump for later. Interesting convo.

Have you done it yet? I just found this thread. I just did TRX today. It was really hard, but I think it is great strength training. Good luck. I am going to keep going once a week. I just go at my own pace.

Wow!! You look so great! Keep up the wonderful work! :)

^Yes! Jogging always reminds me of Anchorman. When Ron says "Yogging, I think the j is silent."

May the fourth be with you!

Compression shorts all the way. I can't run with shorts without them. And I just bought some at Wa-Mart for a good price, where I get all my running clothes. I am thrifty that way!

Love the story. Looking good!!

I read that story yesterday, heartbreaking. I too would like to know what other people's responses are as I am not a Christian either. I was growing up, but no longer. And I can tell you my parents/family always took us to the doctor. Very sad story:(

^This. I actually can't believe it has to be explained that OP didn't mean foods that you are allergic to and that make you sick vs. a diet..... And I may not be significantly close to my goal either, but I have lost 40 lbs (my ticker needs updated, I only do it once a month) and I feel like that is significant to me. And…

I was just thinking about posting a topic similar to this! I wanted to get some people's opinions. I like to rest the day before I race, I feel like I run better if I do that. But I know other's like to run the day before a race. My running plans have you run the day before a race, but I do that run a day earlier. Good…

You are correct!

Good for you!! That is a great program. I remember my first week, I almost died. Now I am training for a 10K and will start my half marathon training in June. Keep doing the good work!

At first I was thinking....oh no here we go. But actually a very good article. Thanks for posting...maybe someday I will be able to do a pushup, but probably never a pull up. I am whimpy in my upper body strength, but slowly working on it. And I love faster recovery! Nice, but really does make sense.

I have been training for 7 months and my mile pace is 9 mins (5K time) and I believe I run. Keep going you are doing great. Don't let anyone bring you down!!!
-
Wow!! That is so awesome!! You look amazing! Thanks for posting!

I don't want to be a fat barrel racer. The lighter you are the faster your horse can run. I want to be a very competitive barrel racer, because I bought a horse who can run fast. So I needed to lose weight, plus I want to do a real push up for once in my life!

Wow! Love it. You look great!!! Thanks for the inspiration!!

I haven't updated this, but I have lost about 10 lbs since my last pic. I would say a majority on running. I do some cross training and started strength training too. But I love me some running. (Hoping this pic isn't too big, not the greatest at posting pics!) Edit: My butt also looks a lot better, but no pics of that;)

Amazing! Agree with other posters, you don't look 240 at all. Love it! Keep going!!! And I also love your hair!

Way to go!! That is so awesome! Thanks for the inspiring words. Today I am very discouraged. You made my day. :)

When I first started losing weight I didn't count calories. And I lost 25 lbs pretty fast. But as I kept going my weight loss was more like 2 pounds a month. I decided to start tracking again. For the first month I tracked I lost 5 lbs and I am on my way to beating that.

I am up 1 pound from last week. But I know what it is...TOM. Oh well, it is only one pound. And I just gotta push through it. Happy week all!

I spend maybe 60 a week on groceries for my husband and I. But I also don't have to buy meat as we have venison to eat. (I don't factor in the cost of an elk/deer tag.) And we cut up our own meat so that is no cost. I budget everything and I shop all sales and coupon too. I do as much as I can from scratch. But sometimes…

Ariat has some nice boots. My brothers wear them to rodeo and ride and they hold up pretty good doing that. So they should work for dancing. I have never used my cowboy boots to dance, so I don't know what holds up and what doesn't. But I have always liked Ariat and they have a wide variety of boots for women and men! Have…

^ Me too. Also before I started losing weight, I had a friend who lost weight. And I was very jealous of her. I wanted to lose weight too. So I finally got tired of feeling like that and started losing weight. But now I feel like if someone loses more than me in the same amount of time I am doing something wrong. I know…

Oh no worries! :) we are on the same page on this one. Anyone can go around claiming anything they want, but they need to have proof to back it up. And just because some article says I should stop running I am not going to. It has benefited me a lot. Why would I stop? Have a great day!
-
You look beautiful in both of them. Good job for losing that weight! I have lost pretty much at that same rate. PS I freakin love your hair!
-
Freaking awesome!! Keep up the good work.

I used to, but now I don't. I don't view food as a reward or punishment anymore. That has been one major thing that has helped me to lose weight.
