I heard mine come on my music system today (it's on shuffle so don't hear it too often) Free Spirit by Marc et Claude. It's not really appropriate but I like and want it played at the crematorium.

My only exercise at the moment is walking daily. I do walk as briskly as I can currently go though. My normal daily route of 5km takes me about 52 minutes [I walk further at weekends]. I couldn't do the same routes without listening to music through ear buds though. I choose fast music to help keep my pace up. To date I…

I'm from Nr Rotherham if you're interested  add me if you like.

Already suggested to my buddy Alicia, but for anyone else; Pedometer Ultimate GPS+. Had it quite a while and love it. Uses music from the iPhone and gives spoken announcements of your progress. I use it with Wahoo Fitness HRM.

Yeah...me. I prefer any other weather to bright sunshine and the summer months. You can add layers and wrap up warm in the winter but can only do so much in the summer to cool down. Walking in the sun makes me lethargic and drains energy far too quickly :grumble:

Ditto, I used to weigh myself weekly, but a couple of weeks or so ago I started to weigh daily but only logged it on my weigh-in day. I now log my weigh-ins every day because I think the graphs look a lot more interesting with the waves. I'm interested in the trends more then anything. So far gains haven't been high enough…

Bump for info, I'm short too!

My eldest son is 24 yrs too. I totally understand how you feel. You should be able to report him as a missing person, so definitely call your local police station - they should be able to give you advice on the situation at least!

I got Fitbit first then a HRM. I use both for cardio workouts. I really love my Fitbit so I know how many calories I actually burn in a whole day. It's also what encourages me to keep on moving, even by just a little. It's a great tool and a great motivator. If you can afford it, I recommend having both.

Just use Firefox or Chrome with the Adblock Plus add-on. Doesn't cost anything. No more ads

It's a great little TOOL for motivation. Very discreet but could be easily lost. You can forget you're wearing it. If you can afford it, use in conjunction with a Heart Rate Monitor for exercise it can't track. The battery life in my Fitbit is around 12 days, which I think is impressive. I've had it for just over 2 months.…

My OH is a foot taller than me. It was when I realised I was heavier than him that I desperately needed to do something about it. :embarassed: Only been here 10 weeks and it's no longer the case
-
When my weight surpassed that of my partner, who is over a foot taller than me.

Hi, I'm a Scotland Highlands lover, Welcome to this group! Add me as a friend if you don't mind someone a little older ;)

I've had mine 4wks. Set myself a personal stair goal that I have to reach!! I often run up the stairs several times in succession to be sure. I can do more in one go now without getting breathless than when I first got it, so it's sure working for me!! You might also be interested in the Fitbit user group on here;…

Interesting. I haven't seen any that low in cals before. Ones I eat are at least 90 cals a slice!! Have you got a link to these please, really love garlic bread esp with my homemade meatballs n pasta.
-
I "waste" just 25 cals per mug on my coffee a day. I drink it without sugar or sweetener. I weaned my self off that years ago, a little at a time. Now I don't notice and prefer to taste the fuller flavour without, but with a 'little' semi skimmed milk. I can't wake up properly without a coffee first thing in the morning!

I didn't used to weigh myself very often. Then when I did, I nearly had a heart attack when I realised I was heavier than my partner who is a foot taller than me! He usually weighs himself often and I knew I was close but NOT that close.....OMG!

I've learnt an awful lot from reading Forums over the years. Prefer to read Forums than to watch TV. It's why I'm here too, as it's one of the reasons I'm now overweight!
