  • Good to know. I quit in January this year for the 2nd time. I really wanted to quit and did gain 10 pounds. It's easier to burn the calories though with the ease in breathing on the treadmill. :) With weight loss and maintenance in general, even ex smokers just need to stay aware of their weight every day from here on out.…
  • I don't eat. If I take in less than 500 calories and work out a lot, I loose weight. If I eat normally, I gain. If I eart normally, I will gain 5 pounds a day and be 200 pounds by the end of the month. I won't do it. It's driving me crazy and the first thought I have every morning is "I shoud have thrown up last night". No…
  • So why isn't the weight coming off? I got 5 pounds off and this morning it's back.
  • Yes and there's no reason to be up instead of down.
  • running, mini trampoline, eating lots of fish and veggies. Some thing I'm doing now.
  • I lost 63 pounds last year. I took a break from working out and gained 15 pounds. My fault I know. But it was so easy last time I lost weight that I am getting so mad today. Every time I try to loose 10 pounds this year, I can't. By this time after running 5 miles a day or riding the bike for 20 miles twice in a weekend or…
  • 8 pounds in 3 weeks is great. be proud of that and stay on track. you're still the in early stages and that tierdness will weat off when you build up your stamina. in 10 - 20 more pounds, your body will crave the working out and the better foods. You'll feel fresher and more motivated to feed that craving for exercise and…
  • I love smoothies too. I do the same recipe as above, but with ice. good any time of day. try this web site. http://www.smoothieweb.com/category/fruit-smoothies/banana-smoothies/
  • Until I started this trip on MFP, I never ate veggies. Now I am 90% vegetarian. I can't get enough and I don't have a taste for meat at all, unless it's to stuff my veggies. I love to stuff tomatoes with tuna, mushrooms, and onions or my zucchini with tomatoes, mushrooms, spinach and eggs. I roast tomatoes with fish and…
  • The weather is a killer for me in the winter and rain. But, like you, I didn't let that get me down. I either go to the gym or bounce on my mini tramp. Since starting my journey in October, I can't live without that euphoria after working out and ooking and feeling better. That's a great attitude...never giving up no…
  • I can't give up my coffee. Just fresh simple coffee out of the coffee maker. I'd love a big french vanilla cappacino right now though.
  • i don't get hungrier...i crave bad things though.
  • it happens. I've been stuck for 2 weeks too. you will plateau. but in that time, you will loose inches, tone and build muscle, which is a good thing. muscle weighs more than fat and will mess with your scale numbers when you want them to go down. TTOTM will affect you for at least 2 weeks once in a while too. The more you…
  • It is. I have gone from a 16 to a size 8. It took me 6 months, but I did it. Just be realistic or you'll set yourself up for disappointment
  • I use flavor packets too. I can't get enough now. I just hate plain water
  • you have to change your workout routine and your meal routine too. If you do the treadmill only, then mix it up with another machine at the gym. Take a hike instead of doing pilates or whatever. I move a lot, so carbs only hold me up a little. I also take in a lot of protein. Adding muscle will help you burn more calories.…
  • I'm not sure about that directly. But my advise...don't wait till you're my age (41) to loose weight. It's harder, takes longer and is a complete nightmare to keep it off since menopause is right around the corner and all the hormones are going nuts. Did I mention that the metabolism comes to an abrupt stop at 30? :) do it…

  • I hear ya. I factored in the weight loss for the dating scene to a small degree too. I don't hear "you're too fat" anymore...but I don't need to hear that. I've been married twice and recently met a guy who really wants to go out with me and see where it goes. My new thing is that I don't want a relationship. I'm good with…
  • Congratulations. :) It's a good feeling, isn't it?

  • you can do it. once you loose the initial a lot of weight, it gets harder. don't let that get you down though. just keep plugging along and stay positive.
  • Been stuck in online dating forever. No luck. There are a lot of weirdos online, a lot of married men. Once you get through that, it's ok I guess. Some people meet some great people online. Me....no luck.
  • You're right about each body being different. I find that lots of fruit holds up the weight loss. I eat it in moderation. The veggies and the whole wheats don't bother me at all. It's weird, isn't it?
  • I try to increase my fiber in spurts. I've heard that fruit is good, but not after 2 pm.
  • :) It's almost a good feeling to know you're getting out of that cycle, isn't it? I look at people who are about the same weight as an elephant and sigh. I am glad I've lost my extra weight and that I'm not in their shoes anymore, but I want to slap the pizza and chips out of their chubby little hands. I've seen one lady…
  • I do a lot of veggies and fish for dinners. After a plate of 4 oz of fish, 1/2 cup of beans or a stalk of steamed brocolli, I am STUFFED. Snacks like avacados are filling too.
  • I had a friend use it and loose 91 pounds. I tried the GNC version of it and found myself craving the crunch and taste of something. I was hungry all the time and my dentist yelled at me because I wasn't chewing things.
  • Congrats! It's a nice feeling. :) I've had to replace all my pants 4 times this year. It sneeks up on you.
  • I don't get it either. So I don't do it.
