More RE not cutting but adding in a bit more cardio than eating diff amounts everyday.

I would be interested to know the answer to this too!

Thanks all x

Thankyou all - great responses!! x

Whats spike days? I'm set to eat 2,000 calories. I have Fitbit and wear HRM for exercise, I think my defecit balances at about -250 a day so not too high! But I have only averaged that over about 3 days so far as I was using my Fitbit for steps only for a while. I think my 'spike' days (I guess thats when we go way over?)…

Should add - going on holiday next week, maybe thats why I'm struggling but I really want to have a few good days under my belt before I leave as would like to try and stick to my 10% cut whilst away too, I feel 'podgy' enough as it is.
-
I wonder if it can be made into a sticky? I would post more on here if it was more easy to find! x
-
Do you not find it demotivated as surely you must just drop dowb very very slowly with the small defecits?
-
Thats fantastic!!!! Such encouraging posts on here. Thankgod for EMTWL!

Great results everyone! I've made a bit of a mess on my first week on cut - I've pretty much done the following - Sun - 1900 Mon - 2700 ?? (approx) Tues - 1950 Wed - 2050 Thurs - 2500 So not very balanced! Decided 2,000 (10% cut) is my aim so have increased my diary a little. I will stick to it!!! Now I just need to decide…

How often do you change your calories to eat doing it this way? Every month?
-
What a great story! You should send your success story in - its very encouraging! Fantastic result, really pleased for you and truly hope I get similar results. Did you start seeing the losses straight away? How long were you doing the cut for to lose 7lb? I'm so happy for it to come off slowly - just aslong as it comes…
-
Do you have much more to lose? Ah - reassuring to hear you lift from home as that is what I would like to do - more likely to do it then! Think I will invest in the book and start once I'm back from vacation.
-
Great results, well done. I do 'cardio' 4x a week, but I love it so will not be removing it from my schedule. Did you cut the cardio because someone said it would help or? Good luck with getting back into it! I do need to try and incorporate weights, but going to the gym and just lifting doesn't appeal - I'm very much a…

Maybe its just me but I do 30-45 minutes walking Mon-Fri and didn't count it. I just counted my high intensity workouts which is 4x hour sessions a week. I'm only on day 2 though so no idea! Just thought maybe the problem was you were over-estimating activity (but I don't know what setting you pick) and like I said - new…

I have added you as a friend, hope you don't mind. Nice to meet someone at same point as me! Without reset :) Are you staying away from the scales or? I'm nervous but I don't know if I need to be! x
-
I would think moderate exercise level personally. Don't we all walk for 30 minutes everyday? I do pottering around on my lunch break but I don't consider it when inputting exercise on scooby, as someone could that many steps on their daily commute etc which they probably wouldn't count either? x

Whats your activity level set at when filling in Scooby?
-
Tempted to do this but if I stick with Scooby at the 1950 cut which I think is low, and take an average over a month, my bodys going to be use to 1950 and I'm not being very consistent if I change then! :-( I think my daily burn is around 2350 (going from estimates of previous months using Fitbit etc)! So should eat around…
-
I'm not being very consistent so far! Lol! I'll do some maths and change it so that my deficit is -300. Noor - you said the other day that Scooby undercalculates for you too - do you go off your own devices as well then? Or have you just added a bit more onto what it says you should eat? Or stuck with Scooby... xx
-
BTW - only day 2 for me!!
-
Guys, I reckon my deficit is around -400 daily. Should I up some more? I used Scooby to calculate it but I use Fitbit and HRM so know an average of what I burn daily. Or should I wait to see the results I get with everything as it is first?
-
Yes, I do deduct 90 calories for resting which is what I get approx on Fitbit & HRM for an hours rest. I don't log my exercise calories at the moment anywhere but in my diary / note section on here, as my diary is set manually for 1950 everyday - and it gets too confusing when everything is changing all the time! :) I just…

What I would like to know is how will you use your Fitbit on EMTWL. If I do 7,500 steps - my calorie burn in 24 hours is around 2150. If I multiply that by 7, and add on the calorie burn from my workouts (I wear a HRM), then deduct the amount I'm eating (1950) it leaves me with a deficit of 400 a day. This is higher than…

Peanut butter perhaps?!

I haven't been using mine but I've just resynced it etc and ready to go! Set myself some goals on the dashboard, looked back at the past and when I was hitting 7000 steps a day my TDEE was 2150! So thats my new goal, everyday :-)
