I understand. I use a combination of vitamin E oil and Avon SSS. I keep it in a spray bottle and use it right after my shower. THEN I put on my lotion. It helps a LOT...

THAT makes it ALL worthwhile! I was at Wal-Mart the other day and REALLY wanted a Hostess Cherry Pie... I have a horrible sweet tooth. I took it out of my cart. Sad AND happy at the same time. I hope I can do it again!

A good stretch. If you see your trainer, ask him for some ideas. If the front of your legs and thighs are a main point, sit on your feet with your toes pointed behind you. Lean back and press your behind into your heels. This is a GREAT stretch for those areas. Of course, a hot bath always works wonders after a good…

I like to do that with my exercise. This way, I HAVE to go to my evening class or face the personal embarrassment of deleting it from my journal and seeing my calorie count get scewed. :grumble:

Doreen, You are probably in the right place. I too was in denial. However, 2 mo w/o a cycle, 2x in a row is Mother Nature smacking the back of my head...Well, that AND the gray streaks that are making their way through my hair. Regarding the bloating, I have to say that I see the same thing. I feel like PMS for a solid 2-3…

A homemade protein shake with fruit and almond milk. I make (well, technically my husband does) a double batch and drink it over a 3-4 day period depending on the size glass. I have also added a piece of toast (with butter). It helps while I'm running out in the morning to work.

Hey Sherdenise, I'm currently about the 'every other month' stage. Here I was, 9 weeks out - thinking "HAZZAH!", and guess what I wake up to???? Cramps and, as fondly referred to in this group "an epic flood"...I'm just glad that I am alone in the office today. I use to be a person who was always cold. Now I sleep with a…

Foot and leg cramps. The foot ones are the worse. You can just FEEL the musles seizing up as you watch your foot turn into itself. Fighting it by stretching in the other direction, while muttering vile and nasty words, is what I do. All of the suggestions do help, but I think that there is just some resignation that this…

.5 lost this week. I think I need to add on calories. I usually don't eat any/all of my excercise calories and think that it is beginning to bite me in the butt.

Fruit (regular & frozen), almond milk and maybe a little low cal fruit juice

Borrow one. I have twin nieces who help whenever they are over. My boys are older and know they would just catch a fork jab.

From one fellow ranter to another, go for it! I am a 5'2" working mom. I've been working out for a couple of years and have lost 35+ lbs. Probably could have been more but I LOVE my food. I started losing weight when people kept asking me when I was due. At the time, my youngest was in kindergarten. As annoyed as I was, I…

Go easy on yourself. We've all done it and will still occasionally blow our calorie count. I'm a firm believer in breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dine like a pauper. With this belief a majority of my calories are burned WAY before my afternoon snack. Of course, I have days where I "eat like a king" ALL DAY!…

I have to stick with my QB. Peyton! However, Andrew is looking pretty good in practice. Can I have TWO teams?

YES! I know what I'm having for dinner tonight!

I'm 5'2" and currently am at 152. My goal is 135 and, like quite a few of you, I will reassess when I hit it. My lowest weight in my adult life was 130 when I got married 20 years ago, Since then, I have had two kids, enlarged my hips and started menopause. Over the past couple of years, I have become a gym rat and…

Tough cookie for the sister! As you said, she has A ROOM WITH A DOOR. Go for it and feel the burn!

I just started working on that particular area and know your pain. The best stretch is called the "foot dragger". Stretches out the muscles in the front of the leg. You can do it a couple of ways. In a chair, point your foot down and gently push it back. You will feel the stretch up your shin. Hold for about 30 seconds.…

Sabine, I hear ya! I am going into my 2nd 8 week and counting cycle. It is nice but I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. I was one of those who was never regular and whose cramps increased with the longer time in between. Totally sucked pickled. Now, at 48, I think I could get use to this extended time...One problem…

As a 34DDD, I understand. I do not run and I LOATHE anything like jumping jacks. The best advice is to wear a great bra (Le Mystere 320 is a GREAT sports bra - You can find them on eBay because they are $$$ at the store). For cardio and fat burning, the Arc trainer is really good at getting your heart rate up without…
