I have several pairs of vibram's that I wear for barefoot/minimalist running. I would recommend them to anyone who wants to barefoot run. my advice is to take it slow. been a year since I went barefoot, can't ever see myself going back :)

quit drinking everything but water, you'll get thirsty enough to drink it eventually. sad people don't drink water for so long that they despise the clean crisp taste of it

learn to run naturally or "barefoot running" there are still shoes you can buy such as vibram fivefingers. this usually causes problems such as shin splints to go away.

even if you don't exercise at all you should be able to lose 1-2 pounds a week by your diet alone :) focus on healing and eating right and you'll be happy when you can exercise again :) If your doctor says upperbody or something is okay then do that, but what you eat is going to have the greatest impact no matter what.

I don't know if I'm sensitive to wheat but I pretty much cut out 99% of it in my diet just to see if I felt better, I did :) I couldn't find a really good replacement wrap so when I am not using lettuce leaves I try and keep a pack of nori and wrap with that, only liike 10 cals

I think it's a great idea, biggest thing that helped me when cutting out sugar was upping my water intake alot, started carrying around a gallon of water everywhere I went, lol
