Day 3 for me tomorrow as well. I just do bits of 'skipping' when jumping jacks are supposed to take place. Easier on my poorly knee,

Count me in...have just returned to the site so this should be excellent motivation.

I would agree with you in that this is a lifestyle not necessarily a quick fix. See your weight loss as a journey, and if you are not as far as you hope at some point or other, take courage that you are heading in the right direction...and that is what matters. Well done so far!

Well done so far. Keep going....it really works!

beautiful to read, thank you!

That's incredibly helpful, thanks so much!

I am fairly new to this workout. Can someone please tell me how heavy the weights are we should be using....or is it just up to the individual? Also for optimum results, should this be done on consecutive days, or should there be breaks with other forms of exercise???

I think the greatest challenge for me has been cooking for the family as well as me also. I have not always been religious about the diet, but I adopt the major principles most of the time and it seems to works.

If you actually feel thirst, I would guess you need more fluid. I am not claiming to be an expert, but from experience I have found that upping my fluid intake has helped with so many things. I read a relevant book recently - Your body's many cries for water - you can get it on Amazon, might be of interest! :drinker:

Yes, eat a bit more protein, but make sure you are drinking tons of water.

Are you drinking enough water?

What an inspiration YOU are to others now!

The high protein intake reduces hunger which is a great thing. However I do feel it is so important to ensure that you do keep up your calories, even if you do not feel like eating, otherwise you can mess up your metabolic rate which is counter productive. I eat, not always because I feel hungry, but because I know that it…

I find being out for dinner/lunch the hardest. The simple option is to go for a chicken piece but finding them can be hard. I am out from 2pm onwards at the Olympic Park where I am told there are lovely dishes from around the world!!! I think I am unlikely to find a Dukan friendly meal, BUT I am taking the opinion that our…

In answer to your questions, I sometimes have one egg sometimes two. I sometimes have boiled, other times scrambled. Depends on how I am feeling, I am not too prescriptive on things I know I can have without limitations, makes me feel as though there is lots of choice!

It is difficult if you are hit with something huge on an emotional level, a common reaction is to comfort ourselves with food, so be gentle on yourself, very gentle in this case. You slipped up, but now look forward with fresh determination. Don't be angry with yourself, but accept what happened and move on. We talk about…

Thanks so much, all so helpful!

Thank you for this advice, I think I will start taking them too.

I am on day 2 of cruise, didn't feel hungry on attack but I did make sure I ate lots of protein foods. They tend to fill you up. I had a cooked breakfast, usually an omlette, and I kept some 'snack' food handy 'just in case'. Snack food in this instance was shredded chicken. And I cannot underestimate the importance of…

When you feel discouraged like this, take a step back and see the bigger picture. See how far you have come, how well you have done to get where you are. Remember, you are heading in the right direction,

This is very encouraging, thank you. I need to loose about a stone, so will do 3 or perhaps 4 days on attack, what do you suggest?
