Yup nodding my head,,,I do as well. I also use real cream in my coffee, finally able to do without the sugar this way. Ha ,,, telling myself I can buy that bag of 'baked' chips and only eat a few each day!! Even if I buy the individual bags, I rip them all open till they are gone. I must say though I have bought a bag, ate half and literally throw them away in the garbage. That's huge for me.

Tried keto to help my diabetes,,,,,I got to the point I would look at my dinner etc and get naseous , started lower carb this week. Just a few more things added like 1/2 an apple, more variety of veggies. Never thought I would get sick of eating cream, butter, bacon lol A carrot right now is much more appealing.

I only ate real oats,,,and steel cut oats, nothing processed. I think it depends on the meds you are on as well, when I was on gliclazide I could eat more carbs,,,but now I'm off it. :) and have to be very careful what I eat. I've learned what is 'recommended' for diabetics isn't always the best for us. Each person is…

Nikion those were the first 2 foods I had to elinate from my menus...oatmeal and bananas. I get A1C checked every 3 months so immediately following my Drs appt I have something I normally do not allow myself....well most people would probably pick chocolate , fries etc. Me? I eat a banana....it tastes so good lol

i had some nuts last night with tea and woke up with 7.1,,,, i wish i could eat cereal but i cant my bg goes crazy.

Hi everyone, I'm not new to MFP ,,I was diagnosed with type 2 a year ago. I've managed to lose 40 pounds and get off one med...but since getting off the one I've had to be very careful with counting carbs. My goal is to lose more and get off the other med.
