You're awesome @KnitOrMiss!

What's wrong with weighing yourself everyday (every morning after I wake up)? I bought a new scale last Spring, and it's been interesting to see what causes weight gain (lifting weights 1 or 2 #s) and weight loss (low calories lol). I also am so excited when I reach a new number that I haven't been at for awhile even…

@kinketo42 I hope you are still on this thread. I upped my fat from 65% to 70% and got very sick to my stomach this week. I then found out (while listening to a Jimmy Moore Show) that this could be due to gall bladder problems. I also feel sick eating deep fried foods, and my sister, the nurse, (a few years ago) said it…

I second Ditto Dan's thanks. This is a wonderful MFP group. And I am really thankful that I've lost 27 pounds this year!

The question then becomes -- of the people who stay on a given diet for years, who retains those health benefits, who at least stay level, and whose health declines?[/quote] Now that would be an interesting study.

I love eggs total. As I said, I've been low carb for quite awhile, Fatchi, but going Vlchf is an experiment.

I just found this on La Vida Low Carb: "One of my Keto Clarity experts Dr. William Davis said people on a ketogenic diet can get an adequate amount of indigestible fibers to feed their gut flora while maintaining a proper therapeutic level of nutritional ketosis doing the things he shared in that except from my book above.…

That is amazing progress for two months!

One of Furhman's problems is he links most of his arguments against animal products to the China "Study" (my quotes). It is actually a survey with many variables for interpretation.

I am grateful that my weight loss has picked up!

Creative! (But looking at them makes me hungry).

I looked them up from one of your posts. I like salt, but was feeling a little "fluish" this morning. So maybe I'll go lick some more.

My girl friend lost 40 or 50 pounds with his mostly vegan diet. She's gained most of it back a year later - from the over-consumption of nuts. (I think.) It's interesting that since I started eating more meat, I am no longer craving nuts. I think that most of the health benefits that people see from his program is the…

Thank you all for your answers. Very helpful. I've never even heard of a chuck neck roll before lol

@FIT_Goat I found your interview to be really interesting and I read quite a few of zerocarbzen's links about healing through meat only diets. I have a long time interest in natural healing including fasting, herbs, juicing, mushrooms, but I had never heard about healing on meat only diets before or Salicylates intolerance.

Hi My name is Valerie. I actually want to lose 15 pounds in the next three months and then take December off. Is that OK? I've lost 25 pounds this year since February. I am 59 years old, a mother and grandmother of 3. Is this going to be a closed group?

I don't know anything about Ayuruvedic weight loss, but one herb commonly used in Ayurvedic medicine is turmeric. It is a powerful cancer fighter (anti-tumural and antiangiogenesis) and an anti-inflammatory. I had stage three cancer six years ago and only did half the chemotherapy in part because of turmeric. (I buy…

I would just suggest that people go on Craigslist to the "farm and garden" sale section, find someone who is selling pastured eggs (when you buy the eggs make sure this is true), fry 'em up , maybe throw a store bought one next to the pasture raised, and see which is best. I can't really afford much grassfed beef except…

Thank you. I re-pinned half of them to my Pinterest board "Intermittent Fasting and Fitness."

Yummy fermented seal blubber and fermented bird meat! Good article thank you. :o I will add if people are not eating veggies they should at least be consuming meat and dairy products from animals who are raised outside in sunlight, eating grass and veggies - thereby having a secondary source of the benefits of vegetables.…

I figure my calorie average for the week- that way I can eat 1200 for 2 days and then have a 2000 calorie day - I'm still at a 1400 calorie average.

The recipe doesn't give the calorie or carb count...

I read all your updates Dan, and I love your stories and photos.

Here's the study paid for by Coca Cola https://gebn.org/asset/articles/Causes_of_world-wide_inc_in_BW-Shook-US_Endochronology-June.pdf In an amazing coincidence, food industry funded research are 5X's more likely NOT to find a link between obesity and sugary drink consumption.…

Perhaps some of us (ahem) should read the real effects of being "hangry." http://www.newyorker.com/tech/elements/hunger-good-bad-hangry
