LENTILS!

You look wonderful! How many calories do you eat to maintain?
-
It seems that if your starting weight is over 400#s, and you are on Biggest Loser, you can lose 15#s in 2 weeks.
-
First your photos have to be uploaded on your computer. Then go to your profile > edit photos > Browse > pick your photo that is on your computer > download.

Nice blog California Girl. There is more than one way to do intermittent fasting. Join Intermittent fasting group on MFP. Watch Brad Pilon youtube videos. Go to Leangains website.

Your doing a great job! What are you doing to lose weight?
-
Brad Pilon wrote a book Eat Stop Eat which has 2- 24 hour fasts a week - usually from dinner to dinner. You can eat a normal dinner. I recommend you check out his videos on youtube and order his book. I find it much easier to live with than alternate day; however, the weight loss is slower.

Whatever you are doing must be working girlfriend!

I've read these articles before, and I have to say, "I don't believe it"! lol - I would love to meet somebody on MFP who has done this and can prove me wrong!

Thank you Melody. I'm Valerie.

You are such an inspiration Fit - 42#s in 5 months! I looked at your diary and you seem to be averaging (1400 calories a day and lots of exercising! Are you losing about 2#s every week? I've lost 13#s in 10 weeks. I slowly start sliding up in my calorie count and then when I don't lose anything in a week (like last week)…

Yum! But don't 16 chips have like 200 calories? Oh I see BAKED chips!
-
I did 1 week of adf and lost 3#s, but I found it too difficult with my physically active schedule. So I am back to eat stop eat (5/2) - although this last week, I only managed to fast 1 day. I might just try moderate calorie for awhile and only skip meals when I run out of calories for the day. As long as the scales keep…

I realize I've actually been losing 1.2#s a week at 1550 average. But I'm over 200#s and I am really physically busy in the summer with often over an hour of exercise a day. I am just realizing I need to be consistent over the long haul to get this weight off permanently. Last year I lost 13 #s in a month and put 13 #s…

You don't anything either Hiawatha because I've looked at your food diary.
-
I was really hoping you all would say 1700 calories! No problem the weight just came off - lol
-
My MFP friends that are consistently losing 2/3#s a week, eat about 1400 calories a day and don't count their 500 plus exercise calories. I count half my exercise calories and am losing about 1.5#s per week, even though my diary is set to lose 2#s per week. However, I don't measure or weigh my food much.

Thank you for the inspiration! Were you my August weight loss challenge partner?

OK I know I am too old to worry about a sexy Halloween, but I noticed it was started by my sweet MFP friend Mariah, I had to join. 8/28 - CW - 231 Well I just have to be in the teens by Halloween!! 9/28 -GW- 224 10/31 GW - 217 Two years ago I was a crazy woman for Halloween and wandered the streets where my grandkids lived…

I've lost 13#s since June 26 which seems very slow to me, but I am borrowing all that wonderful advice and support you've given to Leslelu and using it !

In response to LOVE4Fitness - I only tried alternate day fasting for 1 week so I am hardly an expert, but I was really physically active that week and I had to count my exercise calories to stick to 800 calories on my fast days (which is still 200 calories higher that they recomend for fasts). I also did not eat as much as…

Yes - especially for a young man like yourself.

Spokane - home of the perfect (but too short) summer!

There is an alternate day diet/fast group and a Judd group (Dr Johnson up down day diet) on MFP. I combine Judd, ese, and leangains depending on my schedule etc. Research studies such as alternate day show that people who fast (500-800 calories) on alternate days do not make up all those calories on up (non-fast) days.…

Yarwell how do you know all this stuff? You must spend all day reading medical studies!

I'm jealous. I'm a true believer in eating naturally raised animals - it's not only much healthier but also more humane. Unfortunately I can rarely afford grass raised beef. I do only buy pasture raised eggs from a local source. They taste much better and ha e dark orange yolks. Yum!

I was down Monday. Medium Tuesday, up Weds and Thurs. Today needs to be down. If I was good at following diets I would not weigh over 200#s!

Hello Kim Kardashian!

Anne Coulter is on MFP!!

I notice my mfp friends losing the most weight pick a calorie goal (usually about 1400) and don't count their exercise calories. I only count my exercise calories when I've eaten too much lol.
