So proud of you for trying to hang tough! Insanity is a killer!! Plenty of people who HAVE been working out regularly would have trouble with it. I would say, keep trying, rest when your body quits on you, modify the moves where you can, and amp it up when you are strong enough! As always, you know you can ask me ANY…

[/quote] i think you should see maintaining your weight over a busy period as a good thing! well done for not using work trips or friends being over as an excuse to just eat rubbish! my only tip would be to try and prioritise working out even when you have guests - or do some fun activities with people - go for a walk, do…

This season is full of crazies! I find myself pulling for Elissa because everyne seems to hate her for no reason! Many of the housemates are uber-annoying, though. Love Nick!

Sweet potatoes have vibrant color. Since that is generally a good indicator of higher phyto-nutrients, I pick sweet potatoes over white potatoes any day! (Not so much about the calories for me, more about how nutrient-dense foods are.)

I'm a 30-something, but no kids. I would be happy to be your friend :)

Personally, I have a hard time getting up extra early to fit in exercise before work. I would PREFER to do it in the morning, but since that doesn't work for me, I do it at night right when I get home. The best time to exercise is the time that you CAN and WILL do it, or when you have the MOST ENERGY :) Feel free to…

You haven't wasted the past 3 weeks! You've been learning what works for you, finding recipes, and you know that you can do it! This is your opportunity to learn! You now know that you can't "just have one." What WILL work for you? Have that plan in place now! Make your next meal, snack, whatever, something that makes you…

Never heard of it...I agree with previous poster. Personally, I eat every 3-4 hours because I want to keep my blood sugar levels steady, and I see no benefit to restricting myself to an eating window. But, to each their own!

A run/walk is really the best way to train. Start slowly! You have plenty of time before your big day!

I drink Shakeology, which has TONS of vitamins in it. I also take fish oil w/resveratrol, calcium, and an antioxidant super-blend. I have a hard time swallowing big horse pills, so these are all chewables! PS, if you have any questions about the Shakeology, message me :flowerforyou:

I'm guessing (since I don't know you) that food is what typically brings the family together. Mom might be feeling left out of your new healthy lifestyle (even if she's been invited) or possibly afraid of how your relationship will change now that you are eating differently. Some people have emotions attached to eating and…

Yep, it sounds like the chemicals in processed foods are causing the pain. In 2 weeks, I am starting a body cleanse/detox that has me eating totally clean and (after the first couple of days) vegan. I'm super excited about it!!!!! But, I'm coming to realize that I may have to make it a permanent change in my diet, at…

I'm not going to get all preachy, because I have absolutely indulged in sodas in the past. However, both are extremely harmful to your health, due to the artificial sweeteners. If I ever do have a soda, it's regular, but that's bad too, because of the loads of processed sugars and acids in it. Best to stay away from sodas…

I used to have digestive problems (like going only once or twice a week). Since I started drinking Shakeology every day (check out my profile for info), I have had ZERO problems with constipation! And like others have said, drink lots of water, moderate exercise, and keep eating healthy (non processed) foods. It will come…

The best time to work out is when you have time and energy! Just get it done!

I'm not completely vegetarian, but I am not a really big meat eater either... Plus, I am doing a body detox/cleanse soon that requires me to eat vegan for at least 3 weeks, so I would love some meal ideas!:flowerforyou:

Tonia - I was also going to suggest yoga on your off days - it's perfect for a recovery between what looks like rigorous workout days! Plus, you need flexibility to increase your strength potential... So glad to have exercise devotees active in this group!
