MHO is that 135 might be a little low for your height. I'm 5'5" and my trainer recommended 135-140 for me. You could also ask your doctor what weight he/she thinks is healthy. Also pay attention to your BMI. Also I've been lifting weights because I thought my arms looked big and flabby and they are actually shrinking and…

.7, guess I fall in with everyone else. My ratio when I was 25 pounds heavier though were .65. Either way my hubby loved my curves, but I'm much happier with my shape now.

I'm also 5'5" and about 140 and still have some belly weight. You need to lower your body fat percentage to see your middle go away. I recommend weights as it will tone you up, you will lose inches, look smaller, and you will burn more calories just by doing normal things, but you should also do some cardio just for plain…

Way to go! A great accomplishment!

I would also recommend some weight training instead of all cardio in the morning. You will lose inches as you tone up.

Great job! I have some jeans that when they fit will be by NSV!

Yes, one cat. Oops, and to the second question, I used to hate my name when I was a child, now I appreciate it because it isn't super common. If you could change something about your appearance (besides weight) what would you change?

I count salt just because of the sodium and I'm trying to watch my sodium intake. If you don't need to worry about that, then I wouldn't log them. Although if you use spices frequently it could be a quick add to your log. I think its up to you. I don't log things that have zero nutrition (like coffee) and I know others do,…

Thank you everyone for posting! Friend requests have been sent to everyone! Let's do this!

Friend request sent to you both! Thanks!

I do this too. But some days it does fluctuate a bit more, two to three pounds. Start looking at your food choices this week and last and see if anything changed there. If not, just keep going and don't worry about the scale weight. Go by measurements or how your clothes fit.

My trainer recommends intervals, high speed at 0 incline for 5 minutes, then lower speed at 12 incline for five minutes. Just go back and forth. Your body won't get used to it that way.

I've done it in the past. I only did phase one. I found that just tracking my foods and excercising worked for me but I've heard from many others that this worked for them since it isn't really a "diet" but taking out certain foods.

feel free to send me a friend request!

MFP says you burn 50 calories for 30 minutes of lifting. If you do circuit lifting and keep your heart rate up you could burn a lot more but they don't have info on that. You'd have to see if that amount of calories works for what you are doing. And it will depend what type of cardio you are doing too, I personally burn a…

For me it depends on how much time I can dedicate to the gym. I usually do 1/2 hour of weights, with either a 1/2 hour to an hour of cardio. Some days I just do an hour of cardio or a class.

@kama - Katie?

I think you just need to give it some time. Maybe 4-6 weeks, by then you should see some change.

My trainer recommends 4-5 meals a day. She doesn't specify the amount of the meal but eating regularly. I think the downside of eating so much at dinner is that you don't have a lot of time to burn it off before bedtime. I think the reasoning behind the multiple meals is to give yourself energy throughout the day. But if…

My calories are 1400 but my breakfast is between 400-500. I find that I don't want anything until lunch this way and won't be tempted to have sugary pastries for my break.

I will give it a try tonight.

I am a little shorter than you, but had the same amount of weight to lose. I also have a desk job but work out about 5 days a week for a hour or so, weights and cardio. I choose "sedentary" but manually changed my calories to 1400. That has worked for me. I'm not hungry but I do eat back about half of my excersice so that…

I was skinny when I was a kid, then I hit about 25 and my metabolism slowed down and my calorie intake didn't change. I had a desk job and little exercise. So I became overweight. Then dieted and lost it again. Then started to date my soon-to-be husband and he wined and dined me and then after we got married we entertained…

When I was a kid I was a camel, peed like twice a day, my mom would always ask if I had to go and I never did. Now as an adult my bladder has shrunk definately but not tic tac size. Probably an orange? Yes I pee before bed and when I wake up. Oh and if I have alcohol, especially wine, I'm in the bathroom every ten minutes,…

I like Lean from GNC. The vanilla and berry flavors are good. A large container is about $30 I think. One scoop (1/2 serving) is 100 calories, 13 grams of protein, and 4 fiber.

You look amazing! Great job!

I'm not totally clean, but working toward it. You are more than welcome to add me.
