  • Well, I have cut down to 2 measured tbsp of creamer, and i tried only 4 scoops/pot of coffee. That's 4 scoops is not for me, it tasted little more than colored water. So looks like 5 scoops/pot and 2 tbsp creamer it is. Will just have to suck it up and enjoy my coffee!
  • Wow thanks for those ideas, I will have to try them, I do limit myself but it still makes life difficult becuase I know that is where I tend to gain the most weight.
  • According to my doctor the loose skin will lessen as protein intake increases. I had the gastric sleeve done a year ago, and that's all I know. Also, sad to say, but the older you are, the less likely the skin will recede as its natural elasticity lessens every year we age. Hope that helps and I didn't make anyone sad,…
  • SOme places also offer "skinny girl" cocktails, may be worth asking about!
  • If you like beer, try miller 64, 64 calories and my husband loves it and he is a real beer snob. Me I will splurge on one really good drink, I love me a white russian!
  • I have worked at dunkin donuts, a Starbucks in a local bakery in NY, and make my own stuff at home. Yep, I am such an addict... :drinker:
  • Try the skinny caramel. It uses sugar free caramel and skim milk. I do an iced caramel latte with skim milk and no whip, it cut down on my calories considerably. I hate the flavor shots, to me they leave a bad taste in my mouth so i like the sundae syrups, sadly those aren't sugar free. Hope that helps. You can cut down on…
  • Right now I am working on weaning myself down, but I do 2 tbsp of creamer and that is it in my coffee.
  • I got my Hamilton beach espresso maker for about $40 at Wal Mart. It runs well and is very no-frills. It helps that I have worked in several coffee shops and knew what i was doing. But it seems to work great I have had mine for about 2 years, check it out because mine is still going strong after almost daily use!
  • I guess I am a bit of a coffee snob. My friends own a great coffee shop in NY state. They import the beans green and roast them on site, so if i can get my hands on it, I do! They have a website now, and that gives me the ability to buy now that I am in TX. Heavenly Cup Coffee Roasters, look them up online, they are great!
  • Well I tried only one TBSP (I actually measured it) and discovered that it's not quite enough. I added a second. Much better. I may need to adjust how dark I make my coffee, right now I use 5 scoops per pot, will try 4 tomorrow... Thanks for the help! I will look into maybe some almond milk or something. My son gets…
  • I simply don't keep that stuff in the house, or I hide it from plain view. I find we forget it is there when it isn't in the open for all to see. My major concern is that I have a 10 year old sister and a 19 yr old sister, and both are overweight (the 10 yr old and I wear the same size clothes!). I was overweight from the…
  • Everyone has decent solutions. I do use flavored creamer now, and I guess i will actually start measuring and try to wean myself to an actual serving (only 35 cal/tbsp). Because I use it as my sweetener and creamer, it will be difficult, but I am sure it's doable. It'll just take me some time, thanks everyone!
  • I did have a kinect but we had to sell it because of a financial downfall. I played kinect sports a ton. I plan to get another one once my husband deploys (I miss Skyrim!).
  • I too have hypothyroidism and struggle with weight loss, I cannot seem to loose the weight, no matter how hard I try. I even had the gastric sleeve! But it can be done, I feel for you! Add me if you need some encouragement!
  • I am not sure, it depends if they are supporting you in your quest to loose weight or not. my husband doesn't eat fruits and veggies which makes it hard for me as my son has followed his example and we are "stuck" with a lot of carbs and proteins. Maybe making small changes in portion size (for you) and letting your spouse…
  • As of today, I am in El Paso, stationed with my spouse in Fort Bliss. Feel free to add me!
  • Everyone is different so really you are the only one who can answer this question. If it were me, I also quit smoking recently (3rd time quitting for about 2 weeks now cold turkey), I would start with a brisk walk. If you can handle that, work your way to a short job, then a short run. Gradually increase the distance and…
  • I wish you a lot of luck there, I want to weigh about the same as well, though I haven't really set a time table. Feel free to add me!
  • 25 here, looking for friends and encouragement. Feel free to add me in!
  • For toning I suggest yoga, Pilates, and power-band exercises. A lot of them your kids can do with you at home, the kits are maybe $20. If you have rhythm (unlike me) you can always try Zumba, I failed at it miserably, but you may enjoy it, I know my son(3 yrs old) and his friends tried to dance with all the Mommies, it was…
  • I am a 25 year old Army Mom/wife. Pleased to meet you, feel free to add me, I give great encouragement to anyone but myself!
