You're from the UK right?
-
Will be stalking this too as I would like to know!
-
I loved reading through this thread! My 'dream' is to finish university (i'm about to start my second year), pass the bar and become a barrister. Hopefully that'll happen :)
-
And to keep on topic: OP, it's all about distraction- making yourself feel better helps... eg, painting your nails, redoing your hair, watching tv, coming on here and getting inspired!

It's not an insult and it's not a bogus generalization. Yes some guys have eating disorders. No not all women eat when they are depressed. A lot of women eat when they are depressed, more so than men. That's a fact and it is most likely caused by hormonal or chemical imbalances. Deal with it. [/quote] I went to an…

So it's only girls that get depressed, or only girls that suffer from eating disorders, according to your logic? Also, I assume you're the perfect weight... because obviously guys aren't overweight because they don't ever overeat...

Its only a mid life crisis if you get one because you think it'll make you appear younger or 'cooler'. Otherwise, there's no age limit!

Doing ballet would actually help! I did ballet from when I was 4 and only stopped 3 years ago- it's fun, makes you graceful and flexible... but it is very, very hard work and requires a lot of discipline.

You can get bags of popcorn kernels and make popcorn yourself, there's under 40 calories in a cup of air popped popcorn (then you can add your own toppings). Cut up some veggies (cucumber, carrot, peppers)? My daily snack is usually some cucumber slices.

I HATE spinach with a passion, but really like kale :3

I actually meant to write football instead of basketball haha, I love playing basketball! I would also probably love swimming if I knew how, that's awesome about your friend!
-
London isn't big enough to hold all of the events!
-
You think basketball shouldn't be in the olympics, i'll tell you what is a joke... synchronised swimming! ;p

I LOVE Persians! My parents have one who I grew up with when I lived at home, he's amazing. I have a BSH kitten (the same breed as the cheshire cat from alice in wonderland), she's the best.
-
This! I\ve tried to explain this to some friends from Wales who are getting fed up with the Big Ben logo and the London Eye being splashed about everywhere.
-
(genuinely not criticism, just a question!) are there no places around you/around the people on here who say they only eat fast food because they can't cook sometimes, where you can get decent quality food for around the same price? I'm lucky because i have an amazing japanese restaurant down the road from me where I can…

The questions are so cute and fun and creative, but you dug your own hole with the 'we'll see if you're good enough to add' bit, haha.

The UK is allegedly around the same size as the state of Oregon! So pretty small ;p
-
I have no suggestions, all i want to say is that i'm incredibly jealous you're getting to go to New York!

Someone mentioned veggie broth- the vegan zombie (on youtube) has a great recipe for one! Also tofu- there are a lot of types, my favourite is silken (scrambled tofu is the best- with broccoli, red onion and cumin, with a slice of avocado and salsa!) or in miso soup. Firm tofu is better for a 'mock meat', you can soak it…
-
Also to the OP- I actually agree with you, although people will always get offended, but you're not telling them directly what to eat and what not to eat, you're just sharing your opinion... my boyfriend loves takeaway pizzas, KFC, Subway... I try to sway his eating to make it a little healthier, but it doesn't bother me…

I'm currently looking into what protein powder is suitable for me... as a vegan (so no eggsmilk/meat) and as someone who's severely allergic to almost every nut out there, sometimes it's hard to get enough protein.
-
I personally wouldn't buy fast food (none of it's ever vegan anyway!), but even if it was vegan friendly i'd rather spend my money on eating out at a nice place (sushi restaurants!) if I wasn't going to cook something at home.
-
the courgette ones sound so good! i'm going to try them next week with egg replacer.

The torch passed through my city ages ago! I hope the ceremony isn't too awful- I have a feeling there's going to be a lot of second hand embarrassment going on for us Brits haha. But people have to remember we're just a small island... we can't put on the spectacle that Beijing did. Still will hopefully be pretty awesome…

My boyfriend's mum says she's 'vegan but drinks milk and eats cottage cheese'... as a vegan myself it's quite insulting, it's like... you're not really a vegan then are you ;p
-
Thank you for this! The word is pescetarian (: more people need to learn it.
-
Firstly congratulations on your pescetarianism! Keep it up (: Any kind of soup! (Leek and potato, spring/hearty vegetable, mulligatawny, broccoli, etc.) Mushroom stroganoff Most baked goods can be frozen too (I LOVE courgette muffins, this is the recipe I use and I make it without the crumb topping because I prefer eating…

How long does it have to be kept in the fridge for before you can eat it? I forgot to make some last night and really want to try it today.
-
Firetriniti- that was super helpful, thank you! It sounds like hard work but a lot of fun, i'm definitely going to give it a go. Would you recommend going once a week or more/less?
