I'll do a substitute if it suits... No wine week? I usually have a glass of red every couple of days, it's empty calories I could do without :D

cinamon! Also, a very small amount of very dark choc drops goes a very long way! nom!!!

Well, here's a ridiculously low one for you all to swap over to!!! 25g of air popped corn is only 100 cals- and it's about 2.5 - 3 cups worth! Add some rock salt and black pepper or some cinnamon to taste. Compared to a bag of chips you get about 4 or 5 times more for the same amount of calories. Enjoy x

Any chance it could be linked to your monthly cycle? I always retain fluid a few days before and a the first couple of days during my period. Also, be careful of salt intake as it can cause fluid retention also. It might not be down to this, but its always something to consider ;)

I am actually Doctor Feisty! I designed and built a prototype system for diagnosing skin cancer from image data... Oh, and once as a child I ate a daisy cos I was curious how it would taste!

Here is a little light at the end of the tunnel for you all! http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-17511011

I think it's more sad than disgusting. Imagine the level of self loathing and insecurity that people must reach to consider something like this. This is exactly why people need support and guidance when they have issues with food and eating.

Is it a regular thing or a one off? I'd see if it's happening consistently before I jumped to any conclusions. There have been times i've told my SO i'm doing something but then my plans have changed. Perhaps they have a doc apt they didn't want to talk about, perhaps it was a freak occurrence. I'd def get my facts…

Sounds like she's a keeper. Either that or a feeder ;p

When I go all inclusive I swap traditional breakfast foods for fruit and yoghurt, and have a massive salad with all my meals. This way I can eat what I want, as long as I have filled up first on the less bad options, if that makes sense! I also limit alcohol to two 'proper' nights out and the rest 'taking it easy'. If I…

Have you tried talking to her about how you feel? I would take the "softly softly" approach and ask her is she aware that the things she asks you to do seem to conflict with your workout time. Perhaps meet each other half way- tell her you'll set aside any time she wants, except for those times you're at your class. That…

Your immune system is going to be weakened trying fight off the bacterial infection. Don't make things any harder for your body than they already are. Drink lots of fluids, take some vitamin C tablets, and GO TO BED. ps - get well soon ;)

I think you should go for the higher one. I'm 5 ft 4 and 120 lbs. I have an office job and sit around all day. I eat 1450 per day, eat back my exercise calories, have a bad day once every week or so (lol) and manage to pretty much maintain. I find that when i'm losing weight I do it in a more sustainable way at slightly…

Why not talk honestly and openly to him about it and say everything you've just written here?

I went cold turkey a year and a half ago. I'll be honest - I felt like I was going insane for a little bit. I had a tight chest, was constantly stressed, and apparently quite difficult to live with!!!! No matter how you quit, at some stage or another you're going to have to bite the bullet and withdraw completely and for…

bump I think both me and my horse will love these!

Thanks to this post I just had oatmeal for lunch!!! However, I went for a less than healthy version and mixed a little chocolate through them. Heaven!!!!
-
I use quick cook oats too, just for convenience. I actually love them. Try putting a spoonful of reduced sugar strawberry or blueberry Jam through it. It's also beautiful with lots of cinnamon and a little honey.

First and Foremost, well done on what you've achieved so far!!!!!!! I agree with this. I was142 for years and it was only once I started being really active that I lost any weight and managed to keep it off. I'm now at 119 and can eat pretty much what I like within reason, but I have to work out (and work up a proper…

I suffer from this also. Book smart and street smart are completely different things!

Reduce the weight you lift but increase the repetitions. That's what Ive always been told. It tones without building more apparently. I'll be honest though, my knowledge in this area is pretty limited so there will be people here far more qualified to answer than me. Hope this helps x

I love this question! I was thinking the same thing yesterday and came to the conclusion that heart rate monitoring is the way forward. I have one in it's box still and am finally getting round to setting it up. Not so sure now though given the above comments?

When you head out for dinner with your friend, then talk her into a four mile run over dessert. An hour later we were out on the road lol
-
When you went through it would a comment like this have been a positive or negative influence? I think people on here need to learn to exercise a little sensitivity

About 15 years ago!!! When was the last time you told a little white lie to get yourself out of trouble? ** oops someone posted before me this was in answer to jumping jacks ** last time I sang out loud was this morning
