I had mine done about 4 years ago. I LOVE it! Best thing EVER! I took the valium so it's pretty laid back and not too disturbing ;-) My procedure was maybe 5 minutes long, and recovery was essentially overnight. I had a weird dry/irritated feeling for a couple days, but that went away. I may have drier eyes and halos at…

I know I've seen similar questions on here.... did you try doing a search of the forums? I honestly don't really know. But if your fitbit tracks calories then couldn't you just create your own exercise then key in your cals burned?

I met D on Match... haven't tried FitnessSingles, but it sounds cool! So glad to hear you're getting ready to get out there again! Yay, you!!

If I got a letter like that I would be very angry and very hurt. But then I would be very motivated. Change of any kind is a scary thing, so it's easy to come up with excuses. I think the effectiveness of your letter is going to vary from person to person and none of us know your mom like you do! I hope it works....…

From my 3 brothers in the Army.... Run. Run, run, then run some more. Good luck to both of you!

Ashley is more famous for her acting than her singing. Her sister (Wynnona) and mom (Naomi) are better known for their singing ;-)

You are only 21... quit while you've only smoked for 4 years. It will be SO much easier! I started smoking when I was 15. I quit at 35, when I realized that I had been a smoker for 20 years, and more than 1/2 my life. I didn't feel old enough to have done anything for 20 years! Also, my kids...my husband...my smell. I…

My daughter has been on Zoloft for about 3 months now and has gained 6 pounds. HOWEVER... she's also 14 and a foodie in training! The other side of that is, she doesn't normally gain that fast. I have heard that it can make you gain easier.

My mom did it... It looks great and she loves it

^^This^^ Pick up the phone and call. If she doesn't answer, leave a message for her to call you back

You don't have to have money.... they do it for FREE  And, after I went in and get fitted, I went home and compared pricing. The best deal I could find was only $5 less than what they were asking. Another friend told me to get fitted, then figure out what the previous year's model of the same shoe was. You can…

My brother lives in NC. In honor of him, I will be getting obliterated on wine later :drinker:

I aim for 1/2 my body weight in ounces as a MINIMUM. Example: I weigh around 190 pounds... I aim to drink 95 ounces of water every day. Then I add some for sweating :drinker:

I ran to clear my head of all the stressful crap. To get away from everything and everyone that could have been increasing that stress at that moment. To just enjoy being me, and improving me!

My only suggestion... When you're in position, just don't go too far down. The farther down you go, the harder it will be to push back up. Try going like 1/3 to 1/2 way down. Good luck!

Because the scale STILL says 189.

Well congrats anyhow!

I say run.... why wait?? But what do I know ;-) Just start very slow... You used to run before so you should recognize when you're overdoing it, I'd think.

NSV means non-scale victory

Here's another, about a 98 year old lady: This is just an excerpt... "Just two years before her 100th birthday, Sensei Keiko Fukuda has become the first woman to achieve a tenth-degree black belt—the highest rank in the martial art and combat sport Judo. Fukuda is now one of only four living people who've earned the…

Because you can eat crap and still lose weight. Unfortunately it's about the calories, not about the quality of the food you eat. Step away from the golden arches :-)

Non-Scale Victory! Something that's improved that ISN'T the number on the scale - wearing those favorite jeans, getting a compliment, climbing a hill, etc.

Do you have a friend that could interview you as practice? There's a lot to be said for being comfortable. You need to be able to speak to both your strengths and weaknesses. When people tell me they do most everything well I start questioning them. Nobody's perfect, and nobody is good at everything. I just want to know…

Well... I'm not an RN nor am I in HR but I am a manager that has to do all of my own interviewing and hiring. I'm sleepy today so this won't be very in depth but one thing that comes to mind is make sure you actually answer the question that they ask. I have a lot of people say all kinds of things when I ask them a…

I've got the FT7 - love it! around $100 - $110 new at Best Buy... You could probably get it cheaper if you aren't as impatient as me.

Oh yeah! I didn't have as much to lose, but I lost 28 lbs quickly and "easily" - as easy as busting my *kitten* and cutting bad foods can be! Then work got busy, I got tired, the cravings kicked in, etc etc. I tried to stay on track - I really did - I just didn't quite have that same "umph" anymore. That lasted for 3-4…
