I'm 27 and 5'9. I started at 220lbs after I gave birth to my daughter. Over the past 5 years I've completely changed my life. I'm now 127lbs and heavily into fitness. You can do it too! It takes time and dedication.

I am 27 and I have loose skin from being pregnant with my daughter 5 years ago. I was 220lbs after she was born, I'm 127lbs now and you can see the loose skin/stretch marks but I'm happy I changed my life. I have considered a tummy tuck, but I'm waiting on that for now.

I had my daughter in 2012, I weighed 220lbs after she was born (I'm 5'9 for reference). You can still see my stretch marks and loose skin, no amount of exercise or weight loss will change it. I'm coming to terms with it. My current picture is around 127lbs with weight lifting and fitness.

That's a realistic goal, I'm 5'9 and weigh 125lbs. Go with the weight that feels right to you!

I'm 27 years old, 5'9 and I weigh 125lbs with 14% bodyfat.

I'm 27 and a fitness junky! I workout 6 times a week including spin, yoga, kickboxing, weight lifting, I love it all. Feel free to add me for support. Focusing on body fat versus weight is a good step for lasting change.

1. Like pp said, it's not HEAVIER it's DENSER. The best thing to do is forget the scale and focus on body fat % and measurements. 2. Focus on whole foods, protein rich food, veggies, and good carbs. 3. If you are new to lifting I suggest following a program there are some great free ones at bodybuilding.com, Jamie Eason's…

I would suggest starting with Tony Horton's (p90x dude) 10 minute trainers. If you are not in at least a regular exercise routine I never suggest hopping straight into p90x or insanity both are intense and you have a better chance of sticking with it if you work up to it. The ten minute trainers are fantastic because you…

Unfortunately you may not want to hear this but time is going to make the most difference. Especially if you've lost a decent amount of weight. It takes time for your skin to adjust to weight loss which can give the appearance of a "gut". If you are doing weight training in addition to cardio, you're on the right track.…

I love your transformation! Great work.

Here is my take, you don't have to "lift heavy" to see results (although I do and I love it) HOWEVER you do need to be working your muscles with more than just cardio. For example, body weight exercises and compound exercises are crucial to transformation, many of them can be done with little to no equipment or from your…

I would go with 4, I usually go up in increments of 2.5-5lbs depending on the muscle group.

My daughter is 18 months old, I went from 220 to 140 and I'm at 17% bf and I STILL have it despite having a strong core and abs but I can say with certainty that it loose skin...only hope I have it that my skin with heal over time.

I"m 5'9, 140 and 17% bf.

Welcome, I started changing my lifestyle when my daughter was 3 months old, she is now 18 months! As a new mom I found that simple meals that you can throw into the crockpot and eat over a week are great options! Keep healthy snacks around and skip the junk and empty calories. Once the doctor gives you the okay to exercise…

My best guess is water weight. Quick losses and gains are almost entirely water. You must burn off 3,500 more calories than you take in to lose a pound of fat and you must eat 3,500 calories more than you need to gain a pound. If it continues at such a rapid rate, I would consult your physician to ensure there is nothing…

I would say it's the working out, I find my hunger is less when I'm working out. However, as long as you are fueling your body properly there is no need for concern.

I think the best thing to do would to not weigh yourself so frequently. Decide on a plan calorie wise and stick to it for at least 3-4 weeks and then weigh yourself and check your measurements. If you find that after a month there is no change then change your calories around again. On your question of weights, I would…

I would highly recommend getting your bodyfat % measured and start focusing on reducing that number and not the scale. The BEST way to do this is by adding weight and resistance training to your routine! Building muscle will not cause you to get "bulky" rather it will give you a toned and slimmer appearance, in addition to…

I highly suggest adding weights to your workout routine, it made a huge difference in my running and endurance. If you have a smartphone I would suggest the app "Runkeeper" it has running plans you can follow to help you increase distance, speed, and more! I use it in my training and it's fantastic. Keep in mind that…

If it's working the same muscle groups it is indeed the same or an equivalent.
