Hey Everyone
I'm just starting to get back on my healthy eating and fitness feet after having my first baby almost 15 weeks ago. I am wondering if there are any particular successful hints or tips anyone would know of and like to pass on??? I had a c section so am obviously still aware of the scar etc but anyone know of any effective and safe exercises? Particular foods? Interested in hearing any stories from anyone in the same position...or anyone in general for some friendly motivation

Welcome,
I started changing my lifestyle when my daughter was 3 months old, she is now 18 months! As a new mom I found that simple meals that you can throw into the crockpot and eat over a week are great options! Keep healthy snacks around and skip the junk and empty calories. Once the doctor gives you the okay to exercise start small, go on walks or try an at home workout like Tony Horton's 10 minute trainers, things you can do when the baby is sleeping or you can include the baby in like a mother/baby yoga class!
The biggest key is consistency and patience. Good luck and feel free to add me.0 -
Great thanks for that! I'm almost done getting rid of all the junk and must just stock up on healthy snacks. Have been given the all clear so have started off with some brisk walking...with a 15lb baby in the buggy also0

some physios run special classes to introduce you to safe exercises for C-sections
all I can say is take your time, not sure how you much sleep you are getting, but I found that my post pregnancy weight loss was never linear. I'd lose nothing for like a month and then drop 6 lbs in a week. Good luck :-)0
