I lived on instant mashed potatoes and pudding for three weeks. Despite doing all the "right things", I got dry sockets and it was the suck. Good luck!

I'm currently doing WW and have seen good, although sometimes sporadic, losses. Like you, I'm pretty active unlike most of the other folks in the meeting I attend. One thing that has always irritated me is when people treat using the weeklies or activity points as "cheating" or at the very least that they're more virtuous…

This is how I feel about it too. Also I'm doing the simple start ( or whatever it's called now) and don't have to count unless it's not on the list. And it's working beautifully so far. I need to count something to stay on track but tracking everything tended to make me say forget it, plus I feel like the range in a point…

You're right that I don't love it, at least I don't right now, but I do enjoy the accomplishment of making progress - which is happening. I broke my ankle in December and had to basically start over once I could walk again, so I intentionally took it easy so I wouldn't overdo it and get hurt again. I think the main thing…

That's a great start! Definitely invest in some good shoes - it will make a world of difference. Your calves will get used to it with time. Mine hurt a lot at the start, but with proper footwear and getting more miles under my feet, they don't hurt any more. Also, I do more of a warm up than the five minutes the program…

After half-a$$ing my couch to 5k training this time around, I ran a 5k on Friday night (5000ish participants - it was more of a fun community event than a race, at least for those of us at the back of the pack). It was really fun, but I walked more of the course than I did my last 5k, yet I shaved over a minute off my…

I learned yesterday that push mowing my yard is 3 miles of walking - no wonder I always procrastinate doing it! Up to 7.9 MTD.
-
I'm setting goal at 75 miles again this month. It's going to be tough with a vacation planned and not getting off to a stellar start just yet, but I'm aiming high. Sitting at 2 miles MTD.
-
Finshed up at 55.4 for March. Not even close to 75, but not bad.

This is an incredibly silly one, but it drives me batty when people say they allow themselves to eat "treats" sometimes. "Treats" are what I give my dog and just can't think about human food using that term. Another one are those magazine articles that say "You can lose ten pounds by switching to diet soda and parking at…

Another day of couch to 5k for a total of 43.15 miles MTD.
-
You don't have to sync it to your phone. It comes with a dongle that you plug into your usb port on the computer and it updates from there.
-
39.8 miles MTD. I'll probably take the dog out for a stroll later tonight so I can break 40 today at least. Actually, I'm already there if I count mowing the lawn this afternoon, but I'm only counting activity I log with runtastic. :)

I'm starting to. I had tried it in the past and hated it, but this time around, I started going to classes at the Y because I am rehabbing an ankle injury and I need some serious work on my balance. I think having a specific thing I wanted to improve on helped my attitude about it - and I'm getting more flexible and…

Woot woot - that's exciting! Good luck in the race! Checking in at 31.23 miles for the month. I'm going to have to step it up to hit 75, but I've worked my way back up to 4 miles at a time after my injury. First time was pretty painful. Today it wasn't bad at all, so now I just need to keep it up.

Didn't get any official workouts in this weekend but we had a yard sale and that definitely put some miles under my feet. Whew! Back at it today for 16.82 miles for the month.
-
Up to 9.15 for the month. If it would stop raining, I'd get a few more in today. Here's hoping!

I'm not one to get all weird about frankenfoods, but that one makes me wonder if it has zero everything, what the heck is it? Ken's light creamy caesar and Ken's Italian with romano (not the exact name, but it's close) are my go-tos. Sometimes I'll just put balsamic vinegar on and that's plenty of flavor.

Took a late night 3 mile walk for a MTD total of 10.53 miles.
-
Subtract 2000 from that and you'll have your answer.
-
Got out in the cold, windy drizzle for 2.74 miles this afternoon. I was only going to walk long enough for the dog to do her thing, but once I got out there, I figured I'd keep going for a while. MTD total - 7.49 miles
-
Same here, but mostly because I'm too lazy to wash the tablespoon after measuring.
-
Couch to 5k yesterday and a walk with a friend this morning for a total of 4.75 miles for the month.

I have a food scale and I'm pretty good about weighing things, but I still have no concept of how much 100 grams is. I can eyeball ounces, or cups, or tablespoons, but no matter how many times I look up the conversion or switch the units on my scale, I'm always surprised at how much (how little?) I get for 100g. It's a…

My goal for March is 75 miles. I got a Fitbit a couple of weeks ago and it's very motivating to make me get out there and put some miles under my feet. After being injured for a couple of months, it's so nice to be able to walk again!

Joining this thread again as I work through C25K after a broken fibula. Finished W2D3 today. For some reason, the early intervals felt REALLY tough today, but the later ones got easier. I think I may need to do a longer warm up walk. I'm still fighting the urge to jump ahead a couple more weeks since I know I could run a…

Another threadjack here - I started back this week after breaking my fibula in December. I did Week 1 day 1 just to see how it felt, and it was surprisingly easy. I really thought I'd be completely back to square one, but I went ahead and bumped up to week 2. I'm sure I could bump farther, but I don't want to do too much…

Are you suggesting that the properties of white bread change depending on the size of one's waistline? Interesting theory, but I'm skeptical.

So my Fitbit turned out to be a dud. The replacement should be here tomorrow. I know we're supposed to exercise for the sake of it and not just to rack up steps or calories or whatever, but taking a 2 mile walk and getting 100 steps credit for it was a bummer! Here's hoping the new one works like it's supposed to.

Silk makes a delicious dark chocolate almond milk. Now, that gets back to the sugar issue, but at least it's chocolate. It's only 100 cal per cup so it's not that bad.
