  • I like Jimmy Dean DeLights but that has egg in it. I also eat Balanced Breaks from Sorrento. It's basically nuts, dried fruit & cheese, but it's easy and fills me up until snack time.
  • I say cook what you like/need to accomplish your goals. If he eats, great. If not, he can make his own.
  • Did you measure yourself? That is a really hard way to get your accurate measurement. Have someone else do it for you...
  • My best advice is to measure your food & log everything. "diets" don't work in the long run. I think what is great about using MFP is that it helps you be honest with yourself & you can go back & see where you've gone right or wrong.

  • Sounds like you are talking right to me. Maybe I have been taking in too many carbs. I thought I was doing good to eliminate most breads but never thought of pasta or rice since I adore both of those. Maybe I should try the Paleo way of eating.....

  • I found out the hard way that I lose control when I stop counting.... I had lost almost 20 lbs at the end of last January & stopped counting.   • I don't make my recipes "public". I just use the recipe section to figure out how many calories are in my favorite recipes that I have been using for years. It really helps me portion them correctly. I'm happy that MFP has that function.
