I am 6'2" and should be in the 189 -191 range by the end of this week. Like you I still have a "small sparetire" that I would like to lose, I just cannot make my self do the lifting I would need to do to get rid of it. I am a cyclist and I still would like to lose between 5-8 lbs (that is a ton of weight off the bike) and…

You have to have rest days in there. Your body has to repair in order to grow. Also, are you fueling up? I am personally a big fan of the evil "carb" but I know that's what my muscles need to do what I want them to do.
-
Work harder today than I did yesterday. No. Matter. What. Seriously, no secret. If you exercise, push yourself. When you have a great day, hold on to them. When you have a not so great day, let it go. Just work harder the next day.
-
Love them. Easily 50% of my caloric intake each day comes from carbs. Im doing just fine.
-
Never had a cheat day / meal. I eat pretty much what I want. If I am over, I am over. Most days I am waaaaaay under considering exercise. It averages out. Your body does not reset each day.....
-
And? When I am eighty I am also likely to have wrinkles, liver spots, a stoop and arthritis... A tatoo is the least of my worries.
-
Yaaaaaaaaaawn. Try harder, epic fail.

But it's like sex in a canoe........ You know, Effing close to water....

Pb&j - Best lunch in the world (in my opinion at least. Can take a beating in a backpack and still be yummy.

same goes for the "slighted individual".
-
again..... the poster is working off a secondhand story. If it continues, by all means, report it. But it needs to be the friend. Not a friend of a friend. If I had a "secondhand" story by an individual cause me trouble at a gym with the managment, I would look at legal recourse if if cost me any money. Furthermore, if the…

You heard one side. Lots of times people hear what they do or do not want to hear and take things out of context. The other ladies could indeed have been making fun of her....orrrrrr they could have been talking about something (or someone) different and this friend of your projected. So, before you get the tar and…

If you are not hungry, don't eat them back. If you have the energy for a run, go enjoy yourself. Stay hydrated!
-
Whatever..... As long as I eat my 2080, if I do not feel like eating back the exercise calories I don't. If I do want them, I eat them. I am neither week or sickly and am doing just fine.

A couple things.... Anytime someone says something was "Proven" by science I assume they are a moron. In fact, I pretty much do not have to assume because they have already in that statement demonstrated such an utter lack of understanding of what science is and how it works it is pretty much as waste to continue with…

We all start somewhere and we all are our own worst critic. You are not gross, I am not gross.... But I was disgusted with where my body was heading and I decided to nip it in the bud. Also, remember this is mainly a "fitness" site so we have all types of folks here. I am looking for metrics in addition to weight loss.…

because i am making a point to the "carbs are evil and thats why i'm fat"* crowd that there are those of us who cannot live off of stores of energy and need the yummy, delicious carbs to fuell our activities.
-
This.... I rode a bike 40 miles in a hair over 2 hours last night. If I do not eat carbs I cannot ride with the same intensity.
-
cough....cough.... BS! cough cough

Huh? you got any science that is credible to back that up? While I agree that there are better things out there than McDonalds, saying your body will not use the for fuel is just about ridiculous. Need an example? Chris Horner came in 10th in the Tour De France this year. He is famous for his crappy diet and love of…

Just for the record, and speaking as some one with two degrees in biology... I can say without a doubt that there is no caked on stool in your colon. If crapping is your thing, more power to you....just don't do it and blame it on some crappy (pun intended) science.

Serious question, what does not look healthy? simply looking at how her face is filled out and not sunken says that she has a healthy % of body fat. Also, do not get me wrong, there is a "too skinny" but in my opinion that is a long way from it.
-
well.... Now that is stuck in my head...
-
So healthy looking human is too skinny? This perfectly illustrates my point that what we consider normal has shifted....
-
I have found there is not such thing as a final tattoo....
-
I feel like a big problem is that we as a society have a very skewed idea of what a "normal" weight is. In other words, our normal has crept up gradually over the last decade. I am 6'2" and currently about 193lbs. It looks good and folks who know me are amazed that I am aiming to lower that to 180ish. I am hoping my abs…

A new Trek Domane Racing bike.... Its around 5 grand so I need to use the time I am getting towards my goal to save up a bit. The goal below is just stage one. I have another weight in mind that I actually want to reach and hold for multiple months before I drop the hammer on this.
