My plan is to start training for NaNo now. Make time to write 500 words a day in September, 1K in October and 1,667 in November. I need the practice in fitting the writing time in with the exercise and work. If I add it gradually, hopefully it won't destroy my life/routine in November.

I made it through W6D2 ok but bombed D3. I went back a little since it had been a while since I had been running. I'm working on increasing my speed during this bit of backtracking.

I signed up for my local 5K Color Run at the end of September. I'll be just finishing week 8 since I 'm having to do a bit of repeating right now. I may end up walking some of it but I'm super excited!

I weigh myself daily and keep a spreadsheet with a trendline. I also take photographs once a week and measure every two weeks.

I'm 25 with up to 100 pounds to lose. I mostly rock the Steampunk look at cons and other dress-up opportunities. Feel free to add me.

Lemon or lime juice for just a touch more flavor. I also like to use Jhalfrezi sauce or other curry type sauces to sautee vegetables in.

That means that I need to stop procrastinating and get back to detailed meal planning ahead of time. It means that family members that like to eat unhealthily won't have as much influence on Lunches and Dinners since I do much of the cooking. As for the snacking, that'll require some good old fashioned self-control. I may…

You could be nicer about it but it is a fair criticism and something that I am working on. I fully admit to being a sugar addict. My biggest concern is that the net calorie goal is set well below my BMR as calculated by just about every calculator.

For those of you eating 1600-1800 without eating back, how many calories do you generally net per day? Do you eat some of the calories back for large workout days? I have days where I burn upwards of 1000 calories swing dancing.

You can find me using the same Username on the NaNo site. I usually write fantasy/Steampunk/science fiction but this year I'm considering writing a thriller. This will be my fourth NaNo and hopefully my third win. I don't want to talk about how badly Camp NaNo went for me in June and August...
-
This will be my 4th year of NaNoWriMo. I've won the past two years.

I had a cheat/logging-free weekend while I was camping in Mid-August but I have generally kept the same settings since I started so about two months.

I'm eagerly waiting for the discs to arrive so that I can start Insanity! In the meantime, I'm finishing up the 30 Day Shred and working through Couch to 5K. I'm also about 20 pounds heavier than you. Feel free to add me!

Wait a week or two. From what I've seen it is pretty typical to have a big loss when first starting to count calories. If the rate of loss stays the same you will probably want to eat more but it'll probably taper to a more normal rate in a couple weeks.

I usually bake it in the oven but on the rare occasion that I grill it, I use a Grill Basket.
-
I like to turn turkey burgers into chili burgers with a veggie chili option.
-
Your results might be a bit slower but I don't see any reason why you couldn't do 30DS every other day.

Swing dancing!

Here's one of my favorite crock pot recipes: Recipe: Curried Chicken with Peaches Makes 4 servings (342 calories per serving) Preparation Time: 5 minutes Ingredients: · 4 Chicken Breasts · 1/8 teaspoon each salt and pepper · 1 can (29 ounces) sliced peaches · ½ cup Chicken Broth · 2 tablespoons butter, melted · 1…

MFP doesn't give you calories back for strength training, just cardio.

I have one dog that is always at home and he likes to help me stretch but otherwise just supervises my workout. The visiting cat likes to watch from a safe distance and the visiting dog likes to play with the hand-weights while I try to use them.

I stole the idea from another nerd! As long as the line is creeping downward with each new input, I don't worry about individual data points much.
-
Do whatever works best for you. Personally, I weigh myself every morning and keep a spreadsheet with a trendline. I do an official weigh-in once a week and measure myself every other week.

If the scale is affecting your mood despite clear visible results, you might want to consider putting it away and using a measuring tape instead for a while. If you are seeing results in inches lost, then forget about the scale for awhile!

Calories Remaining will tell you how much you have left to eat in order to stay on track. Net Calories are your Food Calories - Exercise Calories. So, Net Calories + Calories Remaining = Daily Goal Hope that helps.

I just finished Week 5 yesterday, feel free to add me as well.

I'm one that has repeated many weeks and days. I used to hate running and now I will admit to liking it and loving the way I feel after running. Yesterday I managed to run 20 minutes straight. There's a lot of people around that are doing C25K and everyone is very supportive and encouraging. I know that it spread through…

Way to go!

Excellent results! I'm planning on starting Insanity after I finish 30 Day Shred. Also. I'm sending you a message about that spreadsheet.

Out of curiosity, how weeks is the program on your app?
