I have two bikes a hybrid and a mountain bike. And I am finally getting back out on them again. Went for a 12 mile ride yesterday for the first time in over a year. My husband is threatening to sell them if I don't use them lol. I want to bike in the mornings before my kids get up and then later in the day strength train…

I will be 40 in September and I have already started to notice a decline. I am finally getting back on the wagon to get healthy again. Weight lifting always made a huge difference for me and I am finally getting back to it. Edit: lol I just realized I already posted to this feed. I need to log onto here more often.

I was actually thinking of incorporating two workouts in a day soon. I plan on either walking or cycling first thing in the morning before my kids get up. Then later in the morning on my days off of work which is between two to three weekdays depending on the week I was going to add on Yoga, Pilates or strength training…

I would like become a walker. I am also starting a strength training regimen again finally and cycling. But would like to incorporate walking daily. I cannot run because of foot problems but can definitely tolerate walking.

It has been a while since I looked at this! I appreciate all the advice everyone gave me. I ended up sticking with my group fitness class. I still want to try the this program, but I am going back to LiveFit trainer as I feel I am back to beginner weight lifting status since I pretty much fell off the workout wagon for…

I am almost 40, will be later this year and I need to finally kick it back in gear and get into shape. I am looking forward to starting the LiveFit trainer program again and becoming strong and healthy. Looking for motivating friends who also lift and will help keep me accountable.

I am finally getting back to lifting after a hiatus of exercise that has lasted over a year, and gaining too much fat and losing all the muscle I had gained. I am excited to get back to it. I too am looking for motivating friends to help keep me accountable and on track. If you want to add me that would be great,…

Thanks everyone. I guess I will just log it as circuit training.
-
You can add me. I live in the US. I am 38 will be 39 in a few short months. So I am right there with you. Would like to meet my goals and maintain before I am 40.
-
I have been considering getting one of those for more accountability. Do you find it works well?
-
Would love more accountability partners. You can add me if you would like.
-
Thanks! You should try a 1/2. So far it is my favorite distance.
-
It depends on the day. Some days I run in the morning before work and some days I run in the evening after dinner. I try not to run midday because it is usually too hot and my runs do not go as well.
-
That's fantastic! I have been on a three year running hiatus. Just signed up for a 1/2 marathon in early November. I cannot wait.
-
I too would love to have more support and motivation. Please feel free to add me.

I have used mapmyrun in the past. Currently using my Garmin which I love.

I am in the same boat. I feel like my news feed used to be much busier with motivating posts. But those have all gone away. Would love more "friends" to help me stay motivated and keep me in check.

I have done Jamie Eason's LiveFit Trainer in past and Labrada's Lean Body trainer. Thanks for the tip. I will probably stick with my group fitness training until my lifting gets heavier.
-
I have also used www.bodybuilding.com for free programs.

There are some great free programs you can follow on www.bodybuilding.com. Use what you have available at your gym and modify when necessary. You do not have to work with a trainer. I started out using Jamie Eason's LiveFit Trainer from there and I loved it! I have used it at home with my limited equipment as well with…

Feel free to add me. I need some more action in my feed too for motivation!! Have a great day all!!

I have decided to try training again for my first marathon. I tried last year and well had a foot injury and hip problems that sidelined me from running until now. So I have decided to give it another go. I found a new training plan that I believe will work better for me. My goal is just to FINISH my first marathon. I…

That sounds like a great idea. I have thought about doing the same thing, but I am not much for words. Maybe a "private" blog or an online journal would be more my speed. But I think it would be a great idea in order to keep me on track and help me see where I have been when I get where I am going. :)
