Hi I am looking for other walkers like me for friendship. I love walking! My husband prefers to jog but he walks with me too. Happy to meet you all!

I am a daily walker. My friend and I do about 2.5 miles each day during our lunch break at work.

I'm a walker/hiker! My dog and I do anywhere from 4-8 miles a day. I've been trying to get him running with me but he just won't have it in this heat so we just keep walking early in the morning!4
-
I walk! I also do cardio on the elliptical and do strength training but most of my calorie burns are from walking 20k steps a day3

I hike and backpack. I simply go out my front door and there's a high ridge I hike to the top of with my dog. I wear a backpack with bottles of water, added weight. I keep my eyes open for large critters, baring in mind I'm not exactly at the top of the food chain where I live and hike. Bears.4

Hi everyone! Its nice to meet you all. I walk four miles everyday except Sunday. I have not walked in about two weeks. My toe was hurting so much and not healing so I stopped to let it heal. I have big critters here where I live. The antelope have not chraged me yet. They just stare at me and go the other way as I watch them closely praying they don’t charge me. I will get back to walking tomorrow morning early as it gets up to the hundreds in temps here.0

Hello! I'm a walker, too! Tonight was 9 miles of feet hitting the ground...it's my stress relief, my therapy, my time for appreciation, relflection and thanks. Its my Ahhhhhhh time!5

I love to walk and hike! My day isn't complete without it.3

I nordic walk most mornings.2

I shoot for 2 hours daily. When I can't do that, I have a glider in my basement, but I prefer the fresh air and changing scenery.4

I walk 5 miles twice a week with my best friends. We walk pretty quickly so I feel like I get a good workout. I love getting fresh air and having time to talk with them. It does wonders for my mental health!6

I started tracking my steps a month ago and hit my first 10 day streak of going over 10k steps each day.
I usually walk at lunch and in the evening on my non-running days.5 -
Walking is a great way to burn calories and keep your core strong. I walked for the first 1.5 years here at MFP almost exclusively and lost 130 lbs. I now run and walk, but when the knees are angry at me I tend to walk more than run. I try to get in at least two 4-5 mile walks on the weekends and run 2 miles 2-3 times a week during the week.4

I would like become a walker. I am also starting a strength training regimen again finally and cycling. But would like to incorporate walking daily. I cannot run because of foot problems but can definitely tolerate walking.2

When I started MFP 4 years ago at 300 lbs, I couldn't walk more than 1/4 mile without severe foot, knee, and hip pain. My goal was to walk 1 mile without stopping because I thought that would make it possible to do more things with hubby, I thought it would take me a year to be able to do that. I had no thoughts of going farther. I accomplished that in less than 3 months. Now 150 lbs lighter and hundreds of strength workouts under my belt, I can easily hike 10 miles including significant elevation gains. Wherever you are, wherever you start, you can make progress!11

Yes ma’am. I started in FebruAry and have been walking around 10-12k steps daily. It’s really helped to strengthen my body!4

Most of my exercise is from walking. Often indoors since it is unbearably hot outdoors right now. I'll often listen to podcasts while walking. I also do the Walk Away the Pounds DVDs some days.4
-
Me! I started doing a night walk every night 40 days ago. I've only missed 2 days. I walk 30 mins to 40 min a night. Love it!3
-
I love walking and love it. I'm use to walking everywhere as a kid. I currently walk nightly between 8 to 10 km along the seawall here.1
-
My husband and I walk briskly at least 5 evenings a week, more weather permitting.1
-
My dog and I walk a mile every day.2

I've been trying to add walking/jogging into my morning routine. Anyone on here use Map My Walk? I could use some more friends on there! My name is Crystal Price on there if anyone uses the app.2

I think I average about 15k steps a day. If my Garmin is right, that basically equals the calories I burn from triathlon training. So, yeah, it matters. It also winds up being a great way to spend time with my wife and puppies.3

I love walking and hiking. I walk most days for 30-60 mins if I can.2

Yes, walking is my main form of exercise. About 5-9 miles per day sometimes wearing a weight vest.1

I walk a 5K about 3-4 times a week. It depends on my other activities, but walking is my normal go to.1

I walk every morning! I love it!1

Walking is my favorite type of exercise! It is my me time, I try to get out every night if I can!1

I love walking! I am averaging about 130 miles per month right now. I golf 3-4 days a week pushing my clubs 7 miles per 18 holes of golf. If I am not golfing I am up at 6 am am I walk approximately 3.5 miles.1

Walking is my main exercise. I walk over an hour most days.
I have also started walking to and from appointments 1-2 miles from my home this year. I would not have done that a few years ago. A few years ago just walking a few blocks was really hard on me and I struggled to keep up walking across a parking lot. I was incredibly happy to keep up with family again. I feel much more independent and confident now that I walk more.2 -
I lift, do crossfit, and run. I also walk. A lot. People think I don't have a car because my feet are my primary mode of transportation! I walk about 5-10 miles a day.1
