Had completed L1 Day3 today. I cleaned my home for 3 hours yesterday, went on a two mile walk during my lunch break at work, and crashed when I got home, so not enough energy was left for Jilian at that time.

I am working on removing all of my temptations from my home (for example, chocolate candies from Valentine's Day). I'm not doing so bad avoiding them since I have purchased substitutes, but they are still staring me in my face, and that is hard. It's easier when they are out of sight and out of mind. My appetite has flown…

I don't mean to come out as though I am hating on Jillian Michaels as I point out the following things about her. I am happy for her success and her motivation. However, there was one of her exercise DVD that I purchased when she just started becoming big and not many people knew who she was. She kept stopping and laughing…

walked an additional 1.26 miles today during my lunch break.

I am not going to be as detailed with my exercises because time doesn't always allow me to, but I am happy with tracking my minutes. March 1: 1hr 5 minutes (includes cardio and walking) March 2: 1 hr 35 minutes (includes cardio and walking)

When you skip eating, it certainly makes you over eat later. That happened to me last night. I was ravishing everything. Now I make sure I don't go hungry for long to a point that I am starving.

It's normal, so you don't need to panic. This has been happening to me lately. After losing 27 pounds, and tasting good food during my Mom's birthday party around Valentine's Day, I lost all self control. I had regained 7 pounds that weekend alone, and have had trouble losing it since that time. It seems like my body and…

I hear you! Some of these exercises may be fine on the knee if you don't have knee injuries. I have bad knees, and I don't want them to worsen by the time I finish the 30 days. Once your knee gets worse, it's almost irreversible, and you live with the ache for the rest of your life. Modifying the exercises is not a bad…

That's not a bad idea. I will try that next time. I completed L1D2 this morning, and I had more energy for it than yesterday. More energy usually means that I do the exercise more correctly and with more endurance, but that also makes the workout feel tougher. I really felt my muscles being worked! My three year old was my…

Walked 2 miles during my lunch break today. It was a nice day for it, too.

So excited! I started the 30 day shred today. I did it with 5 pounds dumbells, because I don't have any lighter. I haven't had the patience for excercise videos lately, so I was glad when she said the segments were 20 minutes long. The first part was almost 30! But I stuck through it, and I will continue to try. I am going…

140 is also my goal. I was 147 pounds before my Mom's birthday party the weekend before Valentine's Day, and that weeked alone, I went up to 154 from lots of food, sodium, and sugar contents. Usually I lose the weight fairly quickly and then I continue losing new weight from there, but I came to enjoy the taste of food a…

This is a really interesting support group. I was just thinking about having an alcoholic beverage last night to help me wind down, but I know that calories in alcohol can be worse on your weight than snacking at night. So I sipped my tea and pretended it was more interesting than what it was, had a little bit of snack,…

I plan to walk 40 miles during the month of March. I am looking forward to starting this challenge.

I used to have trouble staying under sodium, too. I was able to combat this by switching to lower sodium food options, ex. no salt added whole-wheat bread, and by making my own foods. Without doing that, it's almost impossible to stay under sodium because there is so much added to regular foods.

Most of the postings I have been seeing on MFP is to eat most of your exercise calorie. I think 1200 is fine, but if you are not losing weight at that amount, you may need to eat more. For me, I can still lose weight at 1300--1500 calories as Iong as I exercise that day. However, Woman's Day magazine had an article that…

Watch your sodium and sugar intake; they cause water retention that make it hard to lose weight. Avoid eating late. Spread your workout throughout the day if time allows it. Instead of one lengthy workout, try twice a day or add a new workout. It keeps your metabolism going

I bought a lot of mine from Ebay when I was pregnant. I wasn't an exercise fanatic at the time, so I barely worked out them. You can purchase them online if you are having trouble finding them.

I now weigh 147 pounds (down 2 pounds this week). I have lost 5 pounds since starting this challenge.

I lost half my goal this month: 5 pounds. I went from 152 pounds to 147 pounds. I wish it could have been more, but I am glad to have lost.

Just tried the site. It's great! I had childcare in as "light cleaning" in MFP, but it looks like I should have put "heavy cleaning" to match the calories suggested from that site!

It's a coincidence that you posted this question when I just finished trying to account for that! Yesterday, I was babysitting 3 kids and watching my daughter (so 4 kids all together), and I never sat down once. I ate like a pig, but I usually get that hungry when I am burning an excessive amount of calories. I also cooked…

Down 2 pounds this week! I now weight 147 pounds.
