I actually LOVE working during a snow storm because ABSOLUTELY no client comes in, and I have a chance to catch up on all my work that's difficult to complete because of constant interruptions. Some of it can be personal too (like bills)...but don't tell my boss.

Not sure how many miles I can get in this month with the cold weather, so I will start with 50 miles.

I successfully lost 30 pounds a couple years ago, but gained it back because I think our old bodies eventually find their way back. Everything I used to do wasn't working anymore. I was even exercising 3 times a day during the summer (aerobics in the morning, jog during my lunch break, and swim in the evening on most…

Thanks for clarifying it. The message is similar: a lot of weight bearing exercises can cause a person to either maintain, or to gain weight because they are gaining muscles, although he or she may appear to be leaner. Although you can combine weight training with Insanity (Sean T included a DVD that focuses on upper body…

I do insanity, and everything else. I am very active and enjoy jogging, swimming and weight training. However, as hard as I work out with insanity and I sweat a river, I have not lost any weight since I started. You posted that you gained weight from insanity and felt like I can relate. I know people who have lost a lot of…

I love Tae Bo! I enjoy the fact that an hour of it allows you approximately 700 more calories to consume in the day, along with the ones I gain from doing other activities. It's not that I can reach that many more calories, but it gives me the comfort in knowing that I don't have to worry too much about my caloric intake…

You are on the right track! The key thing is to keep doing what you can do, and soon you will notice that your strength and endurance will increase, and you'll be able to do more. Don't try to push yourself to do too much too soon, or you will become burned out and discouraged. Good luck!
-
I will start insanity soon! Not sure if it will be this weekend, or I'll start Monday. It depends on my schedule.

I like joining fitness challenges, or other weight loss challenges that usually starts when a new month begins. Check out Fitness and Exercise for a challenge that might have recently started. Good luck!

Thank you! I work closely with prenatal women every day at my job. I have met two women who lost weight in the beginning of their pregnancy. The first one did it under the advice of her doctor, and the second managed to it because she ate healthier and watched her carbohydrate intake. Both have high blood-pressure, and…

I want to congradulate you on your decision for monitoring your eating pattern while you are pregnant so that you don't gain too much weight, because many women during this time mistaken pregnancy for a time to eat anything and everything. This is very unhealthy, and it makes losing weight after the delivery very…
