Totally missed weigh in day. But here it is: SW: 175 pounds CW: 173 pounds GW: 144 pounds I had actually lost 5 pounds after starting this challenge, but I regained 3 of them after New Years. We celebrated New Years Eve, and New Years Day.

Great suggestion! It's better to cook/bake your own food in bulk and freeze some of it, than to purchase prepackaged foods. The prepackaged are loaded with unhealthy amounts of sodium, and you get more meals out of the cost that you spend to get multiples of the package. That's very important, especially if you have a…

Bluiz13, I am so glad you started this challenge! I have been trying to locate a walking challenge for this month since the last week of December. I enjoy them so much. I plan to walk 70 this month (walking, jogging, and elliptical machine).

Welcome! I'm new to this again, and this time it feels great to be back, and I feel as though I will be far more committed in keeping the weight off. I lost 27 pounds two years ago, hit a serious plateau, and kept gaining last year. Also, I had surgery that seemed to make it harder for me to lose weight. Now, my body is…

I've actually read that your body digests the food that you've eaten better if you walk almost right after eating. It's one method that will help increase weight loss. With this in mind, when I am at work, I eat my lunch first, and then I go on a walk. I feel better and more capable to continue with work when I do it this…

I fully agree. I have never known anyone who cut calories significantly, or eat less often have trouble losing weight or gain weight from such methods. The idea for weight loss is to consume less than you burn. I know people who have lost weight faster than a lot of us because they simply ate smaller portion sizes, while…

I used to regain 3 pounds every weekend, and I will lose it during the week, plus one or two more. This created a slow weight loss for me, which I wasn't proud of. Suddenly, around Valentine's Day I regained 8 pounds and it kept climbing to 11 pounds above where I had left off. I wasn't worried at first because I always…

Walked 0.88 miles on April 1st, and walked 1.7 miles today for a total of 2.58 miles for this month so far.

Donating them is a great idea. However, I always believe that women in their child bearing years should hold onto some of them to wear during maternity leave. Pregnancy is for a short period of time, so I'd rather not spend a lot of money on clothes during this time.

The following is just a suggestion. It may or may not work for you. Some people do the mistake of crying and begging the person to return. I learned that this NEVER works. It gives the person strength to keep with their plans to leave. The best thing to do is to calmly let him know that you are okay with the separation,…

2500 is way to high for many. 1500 seems to make sense. A lot of people, regardless of their race, have sodium sensitivity in which too high sodium levels within their bodies causes them to become bloated, have headaches, and get blurred vision. Eventually, high levels of sodium not only leads to hypertension, but it…

I'm in, and my goal is to walk 50 miles this month.

Finished my miles today! I had exceeded my tarket by a little bit.

cook your own food avoid adding salt and salty seasonings such as maggi (tiny cube and 1/2 is 1200 mg of sodium) avoid regular breads and try no salt added whole wheat bread (usually Stop and Shop brand). Regular breads are usually your biggest culprit in a high sodium diet UTZ unsalted potato chips instead of regular…

It looks like sodium has a lot to do with your trouble losing weight. Even though fast-food and prepackaged foods claim themselves to be healthy, they are often loaded with sodium that makes you retain water weight. Try preparing your own foods. Make them in large batches so you can freeze them. Buy lower sodium option for…

I'm definently in! My eating has gotten on point, I have no more weekend disasters (hopefully it will stay this way), and I've increased my exercising. I am fired up! Don't know if it was mentioned already, but what day is check in?
