  • New best friend! LoL 125...I wish. I was 125 when I was in high school....I'm just over 135.0# right now. It does take muscle to do a lot of that stuff...some of the more extreme pole dancers have SICK muscle tone...Hope to get there some day.
  • No... See I thought this would be logical like...things in life that we generally say no to...like spiders. Spiders are a HELL no. Or...earwax flavor jelly bellies (they do exist)... Eating Dog meat....that's on my no list... In all seriousness, I didn't find completely eliminating a food from my diet to be realistic or…
  • Neither is really a "cheat" meal...everything in moderation. Both can be made healthier (whole wheat crust or pancakes, low fat cheese, light butter and syrup, lots of veggies on the pizza, etc). It's a matter of what sounds better to you.
  • Shut your mouth...
  • Try Pilates. Great for core work (most of the strength from the work you do in Pilates comes from your core)...Try this site. Her beginner's workout calendar is a great intro. blogilates.com
  • Good grief. This=Food Porn...and I'm 100% on board.
  • Stir it into oatmeal...whip it with vanilla greek yogurt and eat it with graham crackers... Or do what I do and eat it out of the jar with a spoon...but you hate the stuff so that doesn't help. Buy a jar of nutella? Money.
  • You know I did used to have bangs that were kind of swept to the side. Somehow they evolved into straight down bangs...I have even thought about growing them out and not having bangs...then I look back at pictures of me when I didn't have bangs and I thank God that bangs were ever invented. They started going more straight…
  • I've always thought eating the fruit and/or veggies is better than juice. I know you can pack a lot of nutrients into a glass...but I'm one of those people who'd rather get the fiber and the feeling of satiety from eating fruits/veggies. My two cents.

  • The only reason I see to adhere to a vegan diet is because of religious reasons or reasons of conscience (guilt about using animal products, etc). Animal meat and animal products provide a lot of nutrients and energy...and it is more difficult to get adequate protein without any animal products whatsoever.
  • Goal is 100 miles for the month.
  • Lucy-as in Lucille Ball
  • The hunger is a normal response. You ramped up your metabolism by exercising. Nothing wrong with hunger. Just choose healthy foods to fill up on. (Some veggies and humus, whole grain bread and natural peanut butter, half an apple and sharp cheddar, etc). I always seem to be hungrier on days I work out...especially days I…
  • Not a matter of ageism. I mean...can you really compare emotional and mental maturity of a 20 year old-someone who can't even legally drink-to someone who is 42 years old? As someone mentioned above there are 20 odd years of life experience there...that are missing. Dating? I guess dating yeah....but...marriage? I don't…
  • I'm pretty sure you know what most people think...which is why you're asking. Your'e hoping to hear from someone who feels differently than the status quo. We watched "hotel hell" the other night and the owner of the hotel was dating a woman >30 years his senior...after his previous wife (who was also MUCH older than he…
  • I hate my "wobbly bits". I feel uncomfortable if my clothes are the SLIGHTEST bit too tight. I have more confidence when I am comfortable in my own skin. I've noticed a dramatic improvement in my blood sugars compared to when I am less active.
  • Not really a binge....just a lot of refined carbs/sugar. My brother (and my husband) could both put away half a box of cereal. no problem.
  • How long is long distance? Could you go out there another weekend? I know the work thing sucks... I was in an LDR for a year and we lived on opposite coasts of the US. Our visits were like...every 3 months or so and it was expensive and difficult to schedule (He worked and I was in school). I'd be upset too.
  • Cracked me up. Thanks for the laugh break.
  • I've heard it advocates assault, abuse, exploitation and rape... Sounds fabulous. And yes, I'm aware of what BDSM is...and that this book does not accurately represent what that type of sexual play is about. I have not read it...in all fairness. However I've never been tempted to either.
  • This...this morning. All morning. Every woman I ran past (and this is OUTSIDE)...they're wearing like...fancy workout clothes. Matching velour and diamond earrings...and drenched in perfume that I can smell a block after I pass them! Seriously! No cause for that! Working out is about getting sweaty and working hard...not…
  • I really do find there is a world of difference between pavement and trails. I'm hoping to get my housework, etc. done today so I can go trail running in the morning. My usual trail is paved (unfortunately) but if I have the time to spare, I have a gorgeous trail in the woods I love to run (goes down by a creek, etc).…
  • I feel ya-I have two boxers. They do NOT tolerate heat well, but seem to actually do well in the cold weather.
  • Amen with the humidity. Sweating does nothing to help keep you cool. It's horrible. It's like running in a steam room. Saps every ounce of energy I have. 30-50 degrees is PERFECT for me for running. Once it dips into the 20's it's not so fun... :/
  • Another option...reach out and hit her car with your hand next time...then fall on the ground and pretend you were grazed by the mirror...maybe that will teach her.
  • http://www.win.niddk.nih.gov/publications/low_calorie.htm This is from the NIH... Please proceed with caution with the VLCD...not a good idea for sustainable weight loss. Please also seek a second opinion as far as the RD/dietitian.
  • Is this pre bariatric surgery? That is the only ONLY reason for something like this-coming from an RD...I cannot see any reason to go this low on calories unless you are pre op...and even then 12 weeks seems WAY too long for something like this.
  • I still think there is confusion here. It's not the ordering of the salad. It's the parading around of one's beliefs as if you are better than someone else
