I thought I was the only one...I am truly not a nice person when my sugar is low. That is actually one of the signs my fiance uses as a radar for low sugars. It's hilarious, but most times he's right.

A Hi-C juice box usually does the trick for me! I drink them before workouts if my level isn't high enough for cardio, too!

I test before each meal and when my pump beeps (2 hours) after. I also test after I work out and if I feel funny. It ranges between 7-10x a day.

I brought greek yogurt and almonds for breakfast, but got caught up in the glorious muffins at work. After reading this post and the healthy choices made by MFPers, I am happily eating my vanilla greek yogurt and almonds :)

I have a "Diabetes Sucks" section in my diary. I log all items I consume when my sugar level drops. It helps keep me accountable for the intake of cals.

I experience this all the time. I thought it was just me. I do find it VERY difficult to stop even when I drink juice and wait 15 minutes. I have a minimed pump, so I'm not much help. I discontinued supplies shipping with Minimed so I could avoid their customer service and supplies department as much as possible. The book is authored by Rory Freedman and Kim Barnouin. I started reading the book, but couldn't really get into it. I have the calendar on my desk and I love the inspiration and guidance. The book does make sense, but I'm working my way into that mentality :)

Forget the nurses, ask your endo. My endo & I came up with my ratio based on what I'm experiencing. What's sad is that I had NO idea what my carb ration was set for. I've looked and I'm at 5gr/1unit all day. What are you set for?

bump - p.s. your basal rate 3-4 hours PRIOR affects what happens to you right now. Consider dropping your overnight basal a bit to anticipate lows in the AM.
